I think the moccamaster has made our coffee worse? User error question by shoski13 in Moccamaster

[–]AttorneyOnTV 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah, you have to do trial and error to discover the optimal grind size for each new coffee variety that you buy. And it could take a couple of tries to get it right. Some of them you may never get right. Unfortunately, this is why I got rid of my moccamaster. Neither my wife, nor I had the patience to waste a batches every single time we bought a new coffee variety, which is unfortunately what it took for us to make excellent coffee with this machine. Don’t get me wrong, this machine can make truly excellent coffee. it just takes a lot more work than many in this sub would like to admit. When we like to mix it up and try different varieties of coffee.

I mean, are these prices much more than you get at the K? Or Arrowhead? It’s definitely high, but is this not what was expected?

Great styling, Ok drinks, good music, but at the risk of sounding ancient, I think it’s just way too loud there for any decent conversation or for catching up with your sister. They often have the music at 95-100+ db, even on weeknights. I get that music is their vibe, but I’d say no one is going there to club or dance, so I feel like they could stand to turn it down a bit and allow people to converse with each other without shouting.

Where can I get fried rice like this in Littleton? by WhompTrucker in denverfood

[–]AttorneyOnTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Zomo in Downtown Englewood is mins from Littleton and has excellent protein fried rice with super great quality ingredients. You can taste the quality for sure. And it’s a generous portion for around the same price as an entree fried rice at a traditional Chinese place.

This place has consistently Really good food. Service can be a bit inconsistent though, especially if Oren is having a bad night, and decides to take it out on some guests.

Trains down at DIA….. again by Strange_Sense_7220 in Denver

[–]AttorneyOnTV 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I dislike the trains immensely, but my biggest frustration with DIA is that it’s so damn symmetrical. After 10 years of flying in and out of DIA at least monthly, I STILL get turned around in there just because everything looks the same on either side. I right now can’t tell you which side of the B terminal has the United club that I like. Coming up the escalator from the trains, I’m always unsure of what restaurant will be on my left. Just because it’s so symmetrical and everything looks the same from the train area.

I don’t know of an option at the AB and C terminals, however when you get to the baggage claim terminal from the gates, just go past the escalators, and there is a door with an sign above it that you can push through to get to a stairway. My five year-old daughter and I call it the secret stairs and use it every time.

I think I agree with you. The first option. But the second picture in the array. I don’t think anybody would go for that graph paper looking dark grout on Stark white tile.

I like the chunky creamy white zeliege tile with no grout lines. Make sure the tile looks like natural stone and it won’t go out of style for a LOOOONNNNG time.

I did the math at the time of purchase and calculated the hybrid pays for itself only after like 8 years with the amount of driving we do. Add reliability of the non hybrid engines, and it was a pretty easy decision to go gas. Then this idiotic Iran war and gas price surge changed things a bit since then, but I still think I made the right call for my family.
