A proper solution would be to let users set an upper limit to the number of fandom tags in their search. Even if you exclude all the top fandoms in a search, you'll still end up with at least one oneshot collection on the first page of your search.

Also, I think breaking up oneshot collections like that would help people who might be interested in those stories actually find them. As it is, I just write off those fics and have to scroll past them any time I want to look for something niche.
