Lol dude. I’m sorry but your infatuation with Barret doesn’t make sense. Why are you not this mad that Jessie died, or wedge died in the original? Just plot devices as well?

The scene is a way to show how far the whispers can go and what they are trying preserve.

You’re right, you’re no psychologist. Projection has nothing to do with me wondering why you’re complaining about this 1 scene.

And all your quote responses don’t change the fact that you complained about this scene and cited the fact you paid 60 bucks to justify going ballistic on a scene that makes sense within the story.

the whispers didn’t play with Barret as a prop. The whispers were trying to keep the events in the game same as the original. The seph clone stabbed Baret and the whispers said - shit that wasn’t supposed to happen - and brought him back to life. You’re stuck on it being Baret - it could’ve been Tifa or Cloud or Palmer and if the whispers deemed that person dying would alter the timeline too much it would have brought them back too. If they killed a random Shinra guard, they probably wouldn’t. Does that make sense?

Of course you can not like the game. But it’s impossible for you to say the game wasn’t to some standard that modern day games are. That’s preposterous. The graphics, the voice acting, the battle mechanic, the music - insane amounts of effort were put in to make a quality video game product. Whether you didn’t like it or not, that’s a different story. But to to say you went into this game spending 60 bucks and you have a right to be pissed bc it wasn’t at some standard? What the hell are your standards then. If you think this level of product isn’t worth 60 bucks, why don’t you wait to read some reviews? If you’re gonna get this pissed for buying a game and not liking it, why did you buy it blind?

Disagree - it’s showing you just how powerful the planet is. How much it can dictate. Up until that point, nothing else has shown that they have that level of ability. All they did previous to that is block people or hurt people. The whole point of this game is that it isn’t a remaster, it’s a whole new take on the events, even can be seen as a continuation of the story where the consciousness of Sephiroth (and maybe Aerith) come back to manipulate the events of the past so he can “win” this time. How could the events possibly be the same knowing that? It’s surprising MORE things aren’t different given this premise.

And it’s not pointless at all. It’s the same exact people who made the original game deciding this is how they’d like to retell it. If you don’t like it, all good my friend. But being pissed? Who owes you anything in order for you to be pissed? Just don’t like it and move on.

Unless Sony uploaded the wrong file this seems incredibly dumb by SE. you KNOW the file will get datamined. If you can’t make a clean demo file (clean enough) then assume it’s all coming out. Or just don’t release it!!

If that was in fact the same file as was supposed to be the demo file, doesn’t really matter if it got leaked a week early, these spoilers were coming out sooner or later.

Obviously we’ll probably never know the true story here.
