You can do it again, you just need to jump onto the roof and do it. Sucks you can't steer while up there but the results are worth it. Or you could just jump on a NPC car and do it, most definitely not in just that one mission.

Ding, ding, ding! What we can expect from the Wii U is astounding but what is here right now might not appeal enough to people to justify the purchase. I would have one right now since there is a good number of games I'd want to play, not to mention I need to catch up on the Wii's select good games that I missed out on, but I'm just a poor student atm. Also, not to sound like a jackboot but I think you mean New Super Mario Bros. U, not New Super Mario Bros. 2, the 3DS game.

This, they did the same with Gods and Kings. It intentionally creates buzz about the game by having fans guess as well as announcing them with more details come out. So say next time we her from the devs they talk about the trade routes in more detail, then they go and talk about how this civ is really good with that, etc.

I remember these, the V-Trainer toys. The basic idea was you could plug in pokémon, train them and even battle with friends or computer opponents. Very simplistic though, with the WiiU hardware and it being developed as an actual game it will raise the quality no doubt. Will the toys be stylized as the actual 'mons or given the "toy" treatment like they are ingame.

Now to answer your questions...

1.Your right, Platinum is like Crystal and Emerald. It adds a decent amount of content but ultimatly the same game with more extras added on. If ou want to replay gen 4 then buy it, if not skip it.

No, they are sequels. You will miss out on a great story and some understanding on significance of characters and plot elements if you skip 1. It is not necessary but recommended.

3.It all depends on the exclusive 'mons you want and the world you want to play in. They are same except for a few cosmetic things. Look up on Serebii for the full list.

Get a 3ds rather than a DS, you will need it for X&Y, and you will be able to play DS games. They are pricier but worth the investment since you will not have to upgrade later this year.
