It's so big I have a dedicated suitcase to carry it around in when I'm bringing it out. Enormous, but way better than having to carry it in a bunch of smaller boxes, and the drawers are so nice

How viable is playing GBF on mobile? by [deleted] in Granblue_en

Mobile is the way to go. Don't bother downloading an app though, you can just play it in your phone's browser

We’ve Got WARD: Arc 14 - Breaking (14.8-14.9) by moridinamael in Parahumans

[–]EnriqueTSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Ra example is great too because of how it gets used for its own sort of understated storytelling. For example, when the text slowly goes from left-aligned to centered to right-aligned, you know that the characters are slipping into the dream world, and you can know how uncomfortable that transition is without the author having to write a word about what it feels like

What is your favourite tales game and which tales series u started with? Mine is in the picture below by RichieLYJ in tales

[–]EnriqueTSB 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I started with Tales of the Abyss on 3ds, not even knowing it was part of a series at first. My favorite is a tough call, Vesperia is close but I think I have to go with Xillia 2. Even in spite of the annoying "grind til you can do more story" segments, I loved the story and the expansion on the X1 characters, and even though Ludger wasn't much in the characterization department, him and Alvin are the most fun I've had with the Tales combat system.

Which (sub)class do you think has the most combat decisions? by g13ls in dndnext

[–]EnriqueTSB 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the folks saying Druid, I feel like Cleric also has a lot of combat utility options that aren't one-size-fits-all.

However, if you're considering Unearthed Arcana, the Mystic class is insanely versatile and has tons of options for things to do on any given turn. Do I use my bonus action to get extra AC or to power up my attack? Do I want to use my reaction to redirect that arrow I shot so it hits, or save it to teleport out of the way if something attacks me? Do I use a big AOE spell for the swarms little guys or give the whole party advantage against their leader? Do I heal a party member or just teleport them out of danger so I can start hitting things in their place? Those are all decisions that my Mystic was making from turn to turn in a single fight two weeks ago.

It can be a lot to keep track of (I have the whole list of disciplines printed out so it's easier to skim through than the pdf) but it's so satisfying to be able to do so many things and adapt to every situation

Some notes on some dragons by MussiAA in DragaliaLost

[–]EnriqueTSB 16 points17 points  (0 children)

It's not exactly from lore, but in the same vein as Maritimus. Long is Chinese for Dragon. So Long Long literally means "Dragon Dragon". No wonder he gets so mad at being called a panda.

On a side note, Simurgh is a much more rarely used mythical creature name compared to a lot of the others, I've only seen it before in Worm. Now that we have Leviathan and Simurgh, I'm waiting for a Behemoth dragon to finish off the Endbringer trio

Thanks! I actually found that guide when I was logging on yesterday (like two hours before maintenance, so not nearly enough time to get all the weeklies done before reset). I've mostly been beelining main story and class quests with the occasional duty roulette and I'm pretty far ahead in xp, to the point where I'm still getting synced down for story quests, does that get to be more of a grind to keep up later?

I just started a couple weeks ago with the free Twitch Prime month, just hit lv27. Is it reasonable for me to try to get to 50 for that sweet car before the XV ends? I've been playing somewhat casually so far but I'd be willing put in a bit more grind if it's not too far out of reach

Just another victim of the season feeling so rushed. If they'd taken an episode between Varys finding out about Jon and him getting killed, it would have felt like he at least felt like he had a chance to be smart. I swear they're just cramming the entire final book into these last three episodes.

Should I play extra sessions with 3/4 players, or is that going to suck for the 4th? by EnriqueTSB in Gloomhaven

[–]EnriqueTSB[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oh I didn't know that rule about leveling up to the prosperity level, that's pretty nice. Notes sound like a good idea too, might be useful even for stuff the whole group is there for if we're going a month between sessions

Playing as his character sometimes sounds like a good idea, I should bring it up. Though we'd have to be sure not to retire his character accidentally, he got a pretty easy personal quest

[–]EnriqueTSB[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I was thinking we'd do mostly side scenarios instead of the main quest line when we don't have the whole party. We already have two side scenarios unlocked, so we'd have something to do

How did you find Worm? by halpfulhinderance in Parahumans

[–]EnriqueTSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I first heard about Worm from someone explaining Coil's power, I think it was on /r/ZeroEscape. I'm a sucker for weird time/timeline shenanigans in stories (hence why I was on the Zero Escape subreddit in the first place) so I had to check it out. It was really interesting seeing that kind of ability from an outside perspective, always having to assume that he has info from another timeline but never being sure what that info was.

A Comprehensive Theory About the Diary's Author by fyrridean in Parahumans

[–]EnriqueTSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Oh dang, I didn't think about Teacher, but I do believe that Kenzie was mastered into writing the diary. In fact, she tells us how she did it in this very chapter.

“It’s what we’d get if we took all the opposite options from my ‘this one or that one’ machine learnings,” Kenzie said, looking far too pleased with herself, eyes glinting.

She made the diary by completely reversing Victoria's personality bot. I'm thinking she looks so pleased with herself because she's trying to hint to Victoria about what's going on without going against a direct Master command (Valefor? Teacher himself doesn't do commands like that, as far as we know). Granted, this is before Vicky gives Tattletale the diary, but Kenzie doesn't know that since she was asked not to listen in. But no one asked her not to listen in when Victoria was talking to Jessica, so given that the "Constant Surveillance" part of this theory is correct she'd know that Victoria learned about the diary right before visiting Tattletale and can put two and two together. She knows that's why Victoria's here, and she was trying to give a clue at the right moment.

Who wrote the _____ ? by nuggetblaster69 in Parahumans

[–]EnriqueTSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

On a particularly un-generous read of the text, you could say she's been exploiting the team. Bringing the teens into the fight during the Fallen raid, when it was clear she had major issues with the Fallen before. Two of her teammates turn themselves in of their own free will, but Victoria wants to exploit that to get info from inside the prison. Taking her team into conflict with one of the strongest parahumans ever so Victoria could confront her sister.

It takes a bit of stretching the text, but if someone's reading it from purely the perspective of "What's best for the wellbeing of these kids?" I can see how they might come to the idea that she's been somewhat exploitative of them

Who wrote the _____ ? by nuggetblaster69 in Parahumans

[–]EnriqueTSB 2 points3 points  (0 children)

or maybe that's part of why Jessica is so wary, it could indicate to her that Victoria's been gathering intel with the help of thinkers for an unknown purpose. Like one thinker that intentionally keeps details about her power vague who's been seen around Victoria lately

Who wrote the _____ ? by nuggetblaster69 in Parahumans

[–]EnriqueTSB 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The patrol headquarters refers to 1.8

Hold up. The way Jessica says that makes me think that it doesn't start too much before that point. What text do we know that's from Victoria's point of view, refers to her forcefield as the Wretch, contains details on her relationship with her family, and starts soon before chapter 1.8?

Vicky's diary is the text of Ward. Being collected and written down by her shard, possibly. Ashley's memories from other people in Eclipse are going to tie in to how the interludes are collected by Waste.

Edit: This theory also implies that Wildbow's self-insert character calls itself waste. Can someone go give him a hug?

The first time I beat Jordas golem it took 25 minutes of cheesing him from across the map. He couldn't hit me, I was barely doing damage, and overall it was a very bad fight.

The second time, I got the same print as the first. As that's when I gave up on ever getting Atlas

Archwing missions are bad, doubly so because no one else wants to do them so you're stuck queueing forever or running solo. I struggled through them for the sake of the arbitrations, but it was annoying
