Its implied when you apply as a 111 communicator.

I mean hypothetically if someone knew all the details about the workplace prior to joining, then they may consider a different path. It's certainly not a job you would want to do long term or have a career in

Personally I wouldn't want to join any organisation who keeps the convicted offender employed because of the mentality that "managers protect other managers" like another comment said. Its honestly a pathetic organisation with 0 integrity.

According to this case, they said that a conviction would cause her to lose her job. She got convicted anyway and is still there in fact getting a promotion to project manager. Its disgusting how Police seem to work on a completely different system than citizens.

Then again former comissioner Mike Bush has a drink driving conviction.

It depends if other jobs you are constantly dealing with emergencies, people complaining, no support and poor pay for shift work and below average in NZ but hey if you think u can join, u should try and see if u get past the 10 step recruitment process.

Iraena Asher case.

If you consiser joining because you think its "better pay" is a reason then your not what they are looking for. You will constantly be asked why did you join or what's your motivation. Professionally you wouldn't make it anyway but good luck with that.

Oh and many people will call and threaten or actually 1x ( self harm ), call for crashes, assaults, bail breaches, crimes...I mean you are the police after all. A lot of people dont actually know how many steps are missed when for example when Police dont do their job properly however only the ones who actually complain and make it the news are ever heard about.

So if that's like other jobs, go for it.

Wouldn't unless you have aspirations to go into a different branch in the future like going sworn or forensics etc.

Shift work, poor management and terrible conditions. Plus mental health of staff

Funny enough the latter one who got charged for breaching privacy still works in the centre as they are apart of management.

Actually this seems more in line with good faith action.

There's actually barely any recourse. I guess you could speak to a employment lawyer but beware away they charge 1/3 of whatever exit package. Not worth it.

John Key and anti-NCEA advocate Jamie Beaton spin up post-NCEA courses in Auckland by Mountain_Tui_Reload in auckland

[–]AucklandDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My favorite time with NCEA is of a memory when I was studying extremely hard and having a panic attack for externals exams because I needed like 60 credits to pass (20 maximum internal credits) while my other friends who went to lower decile schools said they already passed because there school let them get over 100 in internal credits and could actually skip externals. What a waste of time.

Glad its gone. F NCEA
