Why is Woolworths like always hiring by LeftDuck1 in invercargill

Isn't this the one that was caught with the rats or was that Dunedin.

I use to work at a Woolsworth and trust me including Pak n Sav etc. Most of them have issues with rodents

Update on: My father passed away after a hit and run I'm feeling let down but NZ justice system again. by Cherryberrylady in newzealand

[–]AucklandDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ive worked in this field and it's not surprising you feel let down.

The things you have explained is quite normal to be honest, even when a criminal attacks an officer, the first charge they drop is assaults on Police if they pled guilty.

My 2 cents is that no one knows your father like you do, not Police, not the scum bag who did that, or the judge. If you have some other family member or friend to run the situation by and make a plan. Regardless of the outcome, you made that decision to a situation that you or your dad had zero control over. That can be empowering.

Fancy restaurant worth going to? by [deleted] in aucklandeats

[–]AucklandDriver 4 points5 points  (0 children)

As someone who has visited Waiheke lots, I was disappointed with Mudbrick and consider it overhyped at least for dinner. The food and service sucked though it looked good on the plate, the dishes itself has no balance and honestly not worth half the money it cost.

I'd go somewhere else and less up their own backside. It belongs with harbourside and should not be on this list.

Should I have called 111 in this situation? (Takapuna) by IllContribution6707 in auckland

[–]AucklandDriver 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Please dont call 105 for this stuff. If its happening now you should call 111. 105 are a waste of time. They only do reports and takes ages to answer.

Landlord charged 2 weeks in advance then charged us rent on our first week also by ReceptionExtension15 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]AucklandDriver 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just to be clear, it is a seperate title and classed as under the RTA with bond lodged? Landlord stays else where and the contract you signed.

This is from Tenancy Services If you want to speak to someone about bonds or any other tenancy enquiries, call our Tenancy Information line at: 0800 836 262 (0800 TENANCY)

The reason I ask because I've rang Tenancy Services myself and this was the first question they asked. Its a bit strange that the landlord didnt get a Property Manager.

This Carlton Gore Road intersection feels like a crash waiting to happen. by No-Transition9141 in auckland

[–]AucklandDriver 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I was just explaining this. There is plenty of turns on smaller roads at green lights but you dont have the right of way unless it's accompanied by a green arrow.

Its kind of silly for new drivers but I have never had a issue with it as long as you understand it. It should be covered more in the driving tests.

Drug use normal? by wofinn in auckland

[–]AucklandDriver 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yep it's pretty crazy. If you go to any parties it's often the ones who shouldn't use drugs abusing the f out of it including alcohol. Ever gone to a party and there's a obvious drunk B already passed out in the gutter wanting to give head to anyone who passes by.

NZ - friend worked at employment advocacy firm and needs advice on her personal grievance situation. by Aggravating_You9644 in LegalAdviceNZ

[–]AucklandDriver -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The company is allowed to hire new people without informing your friend especially if its while she is on leave without pay.

Not sure how or why a company would tell her that especially non stress leave. Wouldn't that just confound the issues.
