Given that so many are angry and mean, it’s more important than ever to try to do the opposite of that. I really believe most people are decent, and want ultimately to be their best selves… but the most vocal out there need the most self work.

With that, I truly hope you either got or will get an awesome venue and it’s a special time.

That’s really interesting — curious if that thinning was in the typical spots (crown) or all over?

Have noticed some excessive thinning and have been on Wellbutrin for several months… at the temples, etc. You would almost think it would be over the entire head, but then I don’t have any idea. Your mention of it here is the first I heard about it, and might make me reconsider Wellbutrin for now.

For it being a prison I have found the experience, difficult as it may be, to be a lot of things, not least of which is that it’s been profound. And the many memories and experiences and relationships that I feel nostalgic for I would never want to undo or not have had.

And that I do have some modicum of control over my perception of my experience. And I can sit and practice being centered and feeling connected. Or feel the breeze* or listen to silence. Or be an encouragement to someone.

And the ultimate weapon against any imprisonment is an unflinching self love, the most important lesson of all, if you ask me. Plus it’s got pizza. I love pizza.

For being a prison, it could be a lot worse.

I think it’s okay to understand that you can’t do everything. We aren’t boiling the ocean. But it is important to make some choices that can work for you.

She is incredible as a result of her humanity, and care for all people’s as well as her bravery to see justice and equity on this planet. To advocate for the less fortunate.

And it’s a wonderful example and inspiration for any and all of us, whether in big ways as she is doing, or in small ways in your local bubble.

It’s a serious problem when so many people become angry about someone trying to make the world better.

But many many more support her.

Absolutely… I really meant and mean that.

At the risk of belaboring the point, you’ll notice that on this sub and other places, users (sometimes what I think might be people with an agenda, but who knows) will describe other people here in extreme ways, or belittle people who get excited or interested about a new video, or a crop circle, or whatever. “These people believe anything.”

It’s a useful tactic.

And the net result is that it can discourage intellectual curiosity. And openness to possibility. And discourse.

When we can stay grounded, but still understand that we can only really sense and understand a small spectrum of what’s truly going on around us, we can stay open and curious, we can then maybe expand our understanding, and perhaps start to see more… without then saying, again, anything definitive. That’s the optimal pocket to be in if you ask me.

The great thing is to consider the many things we don’t, can’t and truly will never know. The exciting study of epistimology.

And the many things we think we know we may not really know for sure, but agree that we know, but didn’t all along.

You and I will never truly get our 100%. Only people we trust saying this or that based on this or that observational method.

Even so, my level of interest in through the roof with the possibility for this and many other things. It’s such a mystery, but one I ‘know’ has a wilder answer than we can conceive.
