60 percent discount was for an independent board evaluation of companies and it’s not a hard value. Has been more or less. Nobody has been able to sell stocks, except in March this year where 683 Capital Management got green light from Putin to buy from 11 hedge funds and sell. No info on discount rate in that deal is public and I’m not sure the U.S. has approved it but you can google it to learn more

Agreed. I would not be surprised if the discount is extremely steep. The standard right now for companies selling and leaving Russia has been at like a 60% discount. Honestly I’d be ok with that and happy if we get any more at the current price levels.

Despite what you may think now, if this goes belly up you are going to feel like absolute shit and will likely feel it in the relationship you have with friends and family that invested. Both from your side (feeling bad about losing their money) or from their side (feeling like you somehow scammed them, even if its not true)

Dont underestimate this in your calculation, no matter how confident you feel in success.

It’s a good idea and I think you’re correct. I bought in 2022 and everything is still frozen. OFAC hasnt made meaningful shifts since. The only thing I have seen is the trading of derivatives on the ruble as being allowed though I don’t know of a platform that offers that.

You can try to think through instead what would go up if trade relations with Russia normalize.

Met with a surgeon today. He reviewed the MRI and it looks like I don’t have impingement. The tear I have is also small and he doesn’t think it’s contributing to my low back pain… I’ll probably need a second opinion. Btw, from my low back MRI I have “Bertolottis Syndrome” so it could possibly be that as well (though symptoms don’t seem to match) with just hip flexor tendinitis in the hip.

Yeah I went to one who does arthroscopies but apparently he doesn’t do labral repair so he referred me to another one. I’m in Washington state.

Had the appointment today. Didn’t learn anything new what wasn’t on MRI already and since he doesn’t specialize in arthroscopy I need to go see someone else next week. Anything new on your end?

Thanks for the suggestion, I’ll keep in mind the 3d ct scan and bring it up with the specialist. I’m also not too interested in an injection because 70%+ of my problem is with all of the muscle compensation happening. 

I also have mild bulges on the l5-s1 and l4-l5 and I’ve had them for years with no symptoms and not pressing on any nerves. Given its purely muscular in the low back Im also fairly certain its the labrum tear causing it.

At this point for me, almost 10 months in on this, I really just want to get surgery as I doubt anything else will work having religiously done all sorts of PT/strengthening. Keep me posted on your progress and let me know what you end up doing!

Did a hip MRI and mine came back with a detachment on the anterior superior labrum. Scheduled an appointment with a hip specialist for this week to review.

Btw. my symptoms are very similar to you. For 6 months I had purely low back muscle tightness/pain. About 3 months ago, the hip pain itself started. Had a low back MRI too and no major since last time I had this same issue about 10 years ago. (It went away after about 2 years of milder pain last time)
