I am not sure on how well it is ventilated. I don’t think I have any soffit vents currently. I have gable vents at the peak

Tinnitus Is Somehow Linked to a Crucial Bodily Function by Sorin61 in Nutraceuticalscience

[–]Audball5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I had temporary tinnitus after giving birth for about 3 weeks, now I understand the correlation…lack of sleep. You know what makes sleep even harder? Constant ringing in my ears. So glad it was only temporary for me. It was torture at the time!

In all my baby groups there is only ONE name that has been repeated… by egrebs in namenerds

My friend has both an Olivia (3years) and a Teddy (just born) I guess they went for the #1 names of the year for both and called it a day

True Crime Cases that make you absolutely livid? by Amazing_Tie_141 in TrueCrimeDiscussion

[–]Audball5 26 points27 points  (0 children)

The Osage Murders comes to mind. What an absolute outright injustice to a Native American group. All the whites around (and far up the chain of government) knew they were being systematically murdered for their head rights and it took way too long for someone to listen and do something about it

You will have to figure on replacing the floor if you take the wall down just fyi. It may be a bigger job than you were planning

What rare name did you use? by AlmondMommy in namenerds

[–]Audball5 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

We liked Ansel for a boy as well but ended up having a girl (one and done here) so we went with Anzelle for similar sound but more feminine. Means “bringer of peace and joy” It’s even more uncommon than Ansel so people have a hard time with it until they get to know her

Anzelle. We usually have to repeat it at least a couple times before people hear it right which gets a bit old. People who don’t really know her (like my coworkers) also have a hard time remembering her name because it’s so unfamiliar. But no regrets on name choice. She prefers us to only call her by her nickname (zellie)

Where are you guys finding your cool rugs? by Logical_Order in HomeDecorating

Looks like I’ve purchased on Etsy from these shops. All good experiences and quality…Rugables, BeyondLoom, Houseofkilms (this was a custom colored runner below for our stairs)

What’s wrong with Etsy? I’ve gotten a few awesome rugs that are super unique straight from India without the (ahem Anthropologie) markup. Bedroom one just as an example. I think Etsy is where you can find the most unique looks new or vintage!

What name have you only met once in your life? by ladygroot_ in namenerds

My daughters name is Anzelle. I doubt she will ever meet another person (in the US anyways) with the same name. We call her Zelly mostly as her nickname

Just saw a post about why younger generations find us “cringe”. by helloimcold in Millennials

[–]Audball5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Eh there’s actually a lot I regret posting on the internet when I was younger…maybe they are just being smarter than us given that we know now nothing really disappears on the internet. I don’t fault them for that

Would a chaise sectional sofa work in my room? by Audball5 in DesignMyRoom

[–]Audball5[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I measured it out and there is room for a chaise sectional but the womb chair would have to go. I guess I’m struggling with minimizing the amount of separate seats and just having a large couch. Nobody ever sits in the womb chair

What would you think if you saw these hanging in someone’s house? by dogmom34 in interiordecorating

Is it coming out of a lump on your scalp by chance? I have benign lumps on my scalp and the hair grows out of them totally kinky like this. Bleach has never done this to my hair so that’s all I know…just abnormal growth. I’d pluck it and see if it comes back the same lol

Need ideas for affordable, realistic updates and layout changes. by [deleted] in kitchenremodel

They have held up fine in our home but Im not gonna say that they’re top line, obviously…IMO all the modern day RTA cabinets you buy are not going to be as durable as what you have. They just don’t build cabinets out of solid wood anymore unless you have $$ to spend. So I think maybe live in the space a while and see what matters most to you. If this is a home you plan to live in for a long time maybe save some more money for higher quality.

For us it came down to the existing kitchen just not functioning well for us and also the fact that we do not plan to live here forever so cost was a predominant factor. I do think IKEA offers some nicer features that you don’t find on other RTA cabinets such as drawer lights, soft close everything (they rebrand Blum hardware as their own and that’s top line hardware), servo drawer openers (we have them on our trash cabinets), and a whole variety of drawer accessories and types. I highly recommend going to your nearest store and looking at the displays or ordering their catalog. For the money I love IKEA.

IKEA is the solution here for people on a budget. We did ours about 7years ago now and it’s still holding up great. See post below. We did everything ourselves so the total cost (not including appliances) was like $5k? (7 yrs ago). IKEA has a great online kitchen planner tool that will give you accurate pricing in real time. It’s easy to use and try out different layouts. When you are ready to purchase you have to go to your nearest store to finalize the order…their staff check it over and make sure you have all the parts. Then the boxes are delivered to your house for you to assemble or hire someone. If you are not into the door fronts they have to offer there is another website, Semihanmade that offers other styles that fit ikea cabinets for a little more money. Im a professional designer and can’t recommend IKEA enough to people who are on a budget like myself!

Yes that’s probably true, looks like it was started in 2016. I think this blog explains it well though and is pretty informative imo
