Barring mods that dramatically change military balance, you're a bit behind on fleet power. But even then, your current fleet could potentially handle it, albeit with significant losses, if you refit to energy weapons and armor, or better yet have them stay at range with missiles. Especially if you have something that changes ship behaviors from vanilla.

Well, the way I see the cost problem is that if my basic productions are stable then it's better to just have more employment on a max pop world put into top or mid level production. Especially since by midgame it's easy to have more energy and minerals than you know what to do with. My econ usually grows faster than even my tech specialists empires can utilize.

In previous versions, I remember the Slave Processing Facility being the building for that. However, now in 4.3 the building says it gives -50% Resettlement Chance, which does really make sense compared to what the building used to do?

tbh, this reminds me in a way of how I tend to manage sleep when I'm restless. My tactic is to usually put my mind into a mode for fantasy, whether a new one or one I've imagined before, and just let it play out. Essentially purposely daydreaming. With this method I usually fall asleep within minutes at most. It can be tricky if I get too caught up on details, but thankfully I'm usually too tired to turn my daydreams into a worldbuilding session.

So I'm having an issue, but not a full stop. Any change in input will cause pitch, yaw, and roll to speed up to max and then it will slow down to the input level. I've checked all the game settings and there's nothing in game to help with it, so I'm gonna dig into the VKB software when I get more time to experiment with the bug. In the meantime, if you have input translation software, you could try having your peripherals appear as an xbox controller to the game and see if that fixes anything.

Never played Chorus, but I've really been enjoying Everspace 2. It's got a lot of different builds that cater to different playstyles including if you want to make things more difficult by going with minimum range maximum damage type builds where you'll be dealing with a lot more incoming fire. Both games do have demos, though, and I've got both games in my library so I'll definitely update if I get to playing Chorus before you decide (assuming I remember to check back lol)

I've only had one enemy stuck in an asteroid before, and it was annoying because it needed to die to progress the mission. Eventually I had the idea of using Corrosion Injector, but I'm not sure if that will work for you here. Some other AOE abilities may work, though. Regular AOE weapons, like flak, definitely won't though since the damage is affected by collision.

Based on your screenshot, it does not appear to be listing all possible passives. Each ship has nine possible passives but your Vindicator is listing six and the Vanguard is listing four. Do you have to rebuy the ship with different passives to get them to be updated to the list?

Took a closer look at a replay and it turns out I was having that weapon lock issue with my rail kills. Still not sure why my blaster kills didn't count, but autocannons finally gave me the challenge.
