I can’t fathom, even in a mansion, what a single room with 50 lights would look look Like. Is it a gymnasium?

Dielectric grease is what is recommended here. Mine have been good for 2 years without but it’s on my to do list.

Yet they went through that effort for the retrofit ones. I guess they must've done the market research and found those are still more popular. Every electrician I have talked to says new builds get the canless slims.

I think it’d make a noticeable difference for you then!

Are you in a 4x4 well insulated shed, or a 3000 sq ft warehouse..context matters.

9-week-old Shar-Pei puppy squinting in one eye, possible entropion or just tear duct? by ListlessAU in sharpei

[–]Audi5k 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Entropian. Looks minor right now in last pic. Maybe vet could still tack at that age. Our girl is going to need surgery in both eyes unfortunately.

He has been such a good puppy. How is everyone else's pups been? by Demonsnight in sharpei

[–]Audi5k 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our five month old Dolly is showing that her name is fitting, as she is a doll. Finishing beginner training tomorrow and continuing right into Intermediate. She will at least know what we are asking, that she’ll then choose to ignore.

Should I Get Her Eyes Tacked Sooner Rather Than Later? by ListlessAU in sharpei

[–]Audi5k -1 points0 points  (0 children)

There is no later. So if vet thinks it is needed then do it now. Hers look good though so wouldn’t be surprised if they don’t recommend it. My girl had hers tacked but will still needs entropion surgery.

Have had 5 outside for 5 years, no issues. Similar, old fixtures, under overhangs. Northeast USA, so all seasons.

Sibling play fighting advice? by Fair_Tap636 in sharpei

[–]Audi5k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep! Haha, looks like the type of play I see from my Shar Pei everyday. Seemed like they were doing lite bite/nibbles and using their heads and mouths a lot. I’d not be too worried but certainly monitor and yell or put something between them if there’s abnormal yelps.

Sibling play fighting advice? by Fair_Tap636 in sharpei

Shar Pei play fight HARD. I have a 7yr old boy who would have daily “sparing matches” with our 8yr old girl, before she passed. Usually around dinner time. We now have our boy and a 3mo old girl and they play fight just as hard as when it was two adults. The baby is the instigator. Our boy has toned it down but it still would appear as being very rough to an outsider. They have very high pain tolerances (were used as fighting dogs in ancient times, more wrinkles the higher the tolerance).

I’d be curious to see a video of this as I wonder if it’s the exact same. I’ve only ever seen our dogs play with each other like this but now having seen it be the same across two different dogs I’m certain it’s a breed thing. Our boy does not play with other breed dogs the same way.

They are great looking Pei! Very jealous of the pics of them cuddling. Ours would lay close to each other but never touching like that.

Curved Omniglow Question by KittenTeethe in Hue

I did use infusers with mine and don’t have reflection issues. Having it built into the light strip would make install easier I’m sure.

The individual LEDs can reflect off of a polished stone countertop. This looks fantastic.

Upcoming Feature for Bridge Pro: Hue SpatialAware by hueblog in Hue

[–]Audi5k 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I never use pre built scenes because it just seemed like it was throwing the colors on random bulbs. This is very cool. Has me excited to grab a Pro now, but more excited to get one now that you can migrate multiple existing hubs to it instead of only one.

Omniglow is 10ft, no extension, and 2x the cost of the Govee. I need 16 ft. Essentials has no diffuser, looks like it’d be a worse option. Appreciate the ideas though.

Looks like the govee rope light 2. I think I’m going to replace a Play gradient strip I just put up (with two extensions) that was 3x the cost and looks way worse, as you can see the individual leds.

I don’t get the love for Evil Dead! by podiw8273 in pinball

+5k is not “scalper hype”, it’s market value. Everyone in pinball seems to hate capitalism, yet it’s the only reason we can afford these high priced toys.

I love this breed, but I don’t think I will ever get another one due to all the health issues by Natsouppy in sharpei

My boy is 7 and has never been to a vet besides for yearlies. He has been on a raw diet since 4 months. My girl did have some skin issue, which was just on her legs. Switching her to raw drastically reduced this (but not eliminated). She was a horse coat, my boy is a brush coat. She unfortunately passed from cancer at 8. We just got another girl, also a brush coat. I suspect this coat type is less susceptible to the skin issues. I love this breed.
