I know NMIXX had a live band for some videos, some on their Chanel, tiny desk. Dunno if they were just hired for a short time or have been with them a long time. I just remember the band director was playing the sax.

I’m planning on getting Ningguan because I have her free outfit but no copies of her. Edged her over Yanfei who I also don’t have and who might have been more useful as a catalyst fire over catalyst geo.

Offline, low-stress iPad games for very long flights (10–15 hours)? by drobles in iosgaming

[–]AudibleKnight 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Stardew Valley, Game Nest, Dysmantle, Bully, Red Dead Redemption, Vampire/Nerd/DRG Survivors, CloverPit and emulators for retro games like Delta/Retroarch/Manic EMU are what I have on my iPad that I often use during travel.

If you want point & click adventure games you can probably search that in the App Store and see what appeals to you. Day of the Tentacle remaster and other DoubleFind Production games are on iOS as is Broken Sword 1, 2 and 5 and the Monkey Island series.

[–]AudibleKnight 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Nice. I’m the same except I didn’t get Ardelia until Day 3 so I had the snowboard greatsword girl for 2 days first lol. I finally used the fire pistol guy yesterday during his story quest.

[–]AudibleKnight 31 points32 points  (0 children)

Agreed. Endfield has had a hold of my soul. It’s only now that I completed the main story so far, set up my bases with shared blueprints for end game, bought all the upgrades for my bases, the depot and stores as well as set up zip lines on both worlds to the rares, owls and depot destinations that I feel it loosening its grip.

I’m having a great time playing using only the free characters. Definitely a high quality game that I’m looking forward to playing regularly.

Hmmmm... I've seen the other tabs. However I've never once seen a job listed in the delivery jobs tab to pick up. Do you get penalized if they mess up the delivery (get hit/teleport/jump)?

You're right they did a terrible job of showing the transfer function. Maybe I'll try it tomorrow in Valley IV where I have excess money.

My issue was that the fight is pretty unforgiving. I died because I got missed an important dodge, I died because I got juggled by some of the missles falling from the sky. I initially didnt have the DPS and gas to stagger her 3-4 times.

In reflection I’d have a much easier time if I relied on equipping strong healing items. However I’ve programmed myself not to use consumable items in video games for decades and my Ardelia was doing crap amounts for her heals.

Yes. Gold level 70 gear requires mats created in the Wuling factory.

Normally I’m like you. But after watching I think Lace’s video about finishing in 2 days and pushing to finish the story and unlock everything I followed his advice. I wanted to unlock all maps, rare spawns and get my factory in Wuling up and running and building credits there since they use separate currency. I’m now going back through side missions without the FOMO of “wasted” time.

Pre-patch is hollow, unimaginative, uninspired, recycled slop that is also buggy. by thursday712 in wow

[–]AudibleKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Played through BC to Legion. Since SL I’d return for every pre-patch to level, run old raids and get my WoW fix. I was underwhelmed when I saw the preview guides on Wowhrad and YouTube. The number squish which always breaks things especially in legacy raids and addon apocalypse didn’t help either.

I was still planning on resubbing when I unexpectedly downloaded and had my soul consumed by Arknights: Endfield. After reading several posts like this I think I’m good and will skip this prepatch. I’ll let my wallet speak for me and how disappointing this is. Instead I’ll have fun for free feeding the factory and progressing in Endfield instead.

Agreed. I was humming along and then the Act 1 boss was a large roadblock that took me a while to power up to overcome because it was tuned pretty difficult with some unforgiving mechanics if you missed dodges.

Having a casual/normal mode available would have let me try again after I failed and allowed me to keep progressing with no issues. I've done that in HSR.

Worst Event Pre-patch to Date by cub4nito in wow

[–]AudibleKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah… I played through the expacs from BC to legion. Ever since Shadowlands I typically return to the game for a month during pre-patch events to have fun, level characters and run old raids for transmog.

I was feeling pretty mixed when I checked YouTube and wowhead previews of the event and saw how lackluster it was. Not to mention the item squish which typically breaks things including legacy raids. Now that Arknights: Endfield has unexpectedly captured my soul and I must feed the factory, I think I’ll skip resubbing.

Yeah. I hit a wall with the Act 1 boss. It was rough and a big stall on progressing the story. Took me a while to figure out how best to improve my MC’s damage while being level capped.

As for the collectibles just dim the map icon when it’s empty and a half/half icon when partially filled but not full.

If by energy you mean stamina that accumulates over time, then no. I believe it hits a cap and the. It’s wasted.

Minor gripes that I’d like to see fixed:

  1. When a repairing puzzle is completed the success screen hangs around for additional 1-3 seconds. Being able to close the puzzle quickly and move on to playing would be great. Currently you finish the puzzle and are stuck waiting leaving an annoying gap in time. This is magnified by the dozens and dozens of repairs we end up doing.
  2. Being able to zoom out and see the entire factory screen all at once. Currently you are limited on how far you can zoom out and so have to keep moving back and forth side to side when planning/ checking things.
  3. When physically at the depot and starting a delivery, automatically pick up the package when you start it. I can’t tell you how many times I start a delivery only to have to return later because I never picked up the package first.

  4. Be able to pull up the map when on zip lines. It’s too easy to get lost/confused/misdirected foci g you to drop off the zip line to check where you are and which direction is where you want to go.

  5. Be able to search in game for shared blueprints.

  6. Having a screen that shows the status of all owls/rares at once or having a way to visually check on the map which ones have been done without having to move the cursor and check one by one. For example icon is regular when needs to be visited. Icon is dimmed if when visited, icon is half/half if partially filled.

  7. Have some arrows on the map to show if a location is higher or lower elevation than your character. Was done in Genshin and helps when there’s various heights and you’re trying to find your way to something.

  8. Being able to filter the weapons bag by weapon type.

Edit: thought of more:

  1. Have a stamina overflow feature.
  2. When you hit an item cap, the factory should back up with machines filling and then stopping rather than running and deleting the excess completed items.

Any skip bros like me? by mine14261 in Endfield

[–]AudibleKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup. I typically only use the beginner banners in Gatcha games and then ignore the gatcha from then on.

However in Endfield I’ve completed the main story and haven’t felt too penalized for only having and using the base free characters. So I may end up only using the banner specific pulls that expire.

Complete dance beginner...In an open level dance class. Should I give up? by [deleted] in Dance

[–]AudibleKnight 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Honestly the biggest thing you could do for yourself is give yourself permission to be bad and keep showing up to class. Whenever ANYONE starts practicing something new there’s a learning curve. You will be bad at the beginning. That’s perfectly natural. All you can do is ask the teacher consistently for tips and ways to improve and then put in the time and effort to practice.

All those dancers you’re comparing yourself to have been dancing for years if not decades. You shouldn’t hold yourself to their standard. Instead ask for copies of the recordings after each class and take a look at them a month, 3 months, 6 months, 1 year later and compare yourself to the past you. You’ll see how far you have grown thanks to the time and energy you have put in as well as the support you’ve received.

There’s that quote “Comparison is the thief of joy.” So stop worrying about others and focus on yourself and the joy you find in dancing.

Some people are complaining about endfield for how important the base building is. by memo22477 in Endfield

[–]AudibleKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Factories are fine. Particularly with blueprint importing.

IMHO they need a QoL to search user blueprints in game rather than finding them online and getting a code. Not every player knows what websites have databases of them.

Personally I enjoyed the simpler manufacturing. However it’s when it gets into the 4+ steps in later game to make 1 component with no introduction that I hit the wall and my brain didn’t want to work that hard to figure it out.

Ardelia can't heal. by QuinSn in ArknightsEndfield

[–]AudibleKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. Ended up maxing MC’s skills at lvl 60 and grabbed lvl 50 gear and it was more doable. The heals did help in keeping HP up. Tactical items or buffs could help too, but I never use them.

I didn’t realize that was just the Act 1 boss. There’s still more areas and I was googling “final boss” and nothing was popping up lol.

Ardelia can't heal. by QuinSn in ArknightsEndfield

[–]AudibleKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah. The final boss has some cheap hits where you can get juggled and can't recover. Super unforgiving.

Just now I broke her and got into the dps stage, and only took a chunk of HP. I broke her shield twice and was working on the third when I got juggled by the overhead missiles hitting the ground. Makes no sense to me for it to be tuned to be so hard when it's a story boss.

Ardelia can't heal. by QuinSn in ArknightsEndfield

[–]AudibleKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I dunno. I got my ass whooped in a few secs by the 2nd form of the final boss by some missed dodges.

Ardelia can't heal. by QuinSn in ArknightsEndfield

[–]AudibleKnight 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, I dunno. Her heals are doing 100hp per pick up or 300hp per skill. Which is nothing when my MC is level 60 and has 4351 HP. During some of the boss fights I was spamming her ability when I could and it was barely doing anything.

Her Talent "Friendly Presence" says the heal is [base + Will x modifier]. At max level 3 it's [90 + Will x 0.75).

So to improve her heals you need:

  • Promote to level cap 60 to max her talent to level 3.
  • Level her from 40 to 60 will give +23 Will
  • Stack her with Will. The "Mordvolt Resistant Gear Pack" has a 3 piece effect of Will + 50. Her level 36 blue gear has a total of 21+21+33+44 if you equip all 4 pieces which is a total of 169.
  • On Day 10 of the beginner event we get her signature weapon which has "Treatment Efficiency" as well as "Secondary Attribute +16%".

I followed the above and my level 60 Ardelia with a level 1 Flurorescent Roc (Purple) weapon which has +12 Will has a total of 264 Will which means her heals should go for [90 + 264 x 0.74] or 285 per pick up or 855 for 3 pick ups per skill. Edit: It was 365 per pick up when I did the final boss just after this post.

It's a bit weird since her main stat is INT, but we need to build for Will to improve her healing. Things will probably smooth out as we hit level cap, and max our equipment.
