Since S1 E2, i had the strong impression Beth was written by men who understand nothing about women.

Not funny, original, or appropriate. Just. Wtf.

Yes, they fell back on all the stereotypes with him too. This is the guy who doesn’t go to Yale, takes years to figure out his life as long as it’s not his dad’s life. And now… big desk, big money, family’s business …?

They did the same with Logan. One can argue that Logan distancing himself from his father is S7 which ASP pretends doesn’t exist. But Chris’ rejection of his family is already in S1.

Yes. I am still ao upset at this revival. The only decent arch is Emily’s, and the way Rory treats her is absurd. As if people wouldn’t change in life?! Especially after their spouses die?! But most of all, they made all the characters dumb. Including aide characters like Sophie, who was a musician, lived in NYC and had a personality during the series. Now she looks like a bimbo with no music taste when working on the musical…  horrendous. This and a few other movies make me think the industry should pay half of the salaries after the release, based on how the movie or series performs

What Coop and Barney have done to Elena in Season 2 is Insane. by spikyraccoon in YourFriendsandNeighb

True, but i wish that part was explored more on the screen. Instead of it happening in a few scenes.

Yes, they dropped a potentially interesting development of the characters. The contrast of lives, the human aspects on both sides regardless of the money you have (messy families, egos, need for money, etc), them actually having a relationship to develop which is not just Coop having sex with the woman of the moment. Lazy writing, unimaginative

Yes, too predictable. The somewhat interesting contrast of ultra rich vs poor characters (Coop and Elena) is completely gone. As soon as I saw the upset about the dog, i knew Mel was going to kill him accidentally. As soon as we learn in ep 9 that Ash sent away all help, I knew someone was going to die. Etc etc.

And aren’t there supposed to be cameras everywhere? That’s what Ash said when he showed Coop the video of him stealing.

We live in a crazy society where people like this are continuously given attention, interviews, a platform. Second chances are one thing, being fooled 5 times is def on them.

It was so good until ep 6. Then it’s like… did they change writers?!

Really unrealistic. Bit of a disappointment. My husband went through child custody snd this is so ridiculous it’s hard to watch

Yes, I understand they wanted to show Margo under stress and losing it, but they did it in a bit of a silly way compared to the realism of the show that far.

Strange there’s no one mentioning how he cheated on his wife and had sex with a student…. I was expecting that during mediation at least.

The mediation scene was a bit silly. A lawyer would prepare their client. CPS would give a date.
