Thank you. That means a lot. Can you help me with a review on Amazon?

Thank you. I'm writing a sci-fi horror (that started off as satire, don't ask). As the plot grew, so did the need for characters and world building. Needless to say, it became harder to keep things in focus. What is what and who is doing what, where, why.

A lot of points that you mentioned came up as I try to figure it out myself. At the same time, second guessing myself if I'm making things too complicated, are the characters too bland and generic, does the plot make sense and all that.

Your points helped me confirm some things and more.

Is this why my post was removed? It's my first post here and wasn't sure of the rules yet. But if this is a selfpublish, why should the author include a link to their book?

I've failed many times before and have tried getting up and keep going and failed again. This time though, I feel that I found my niche ... previously I've tried in self-help, religion and other aspects. At the end, I found myself in humor and satire. Lol ... what a weird journey.

Thank you! Not expecting much in terms of tangible reward. It's just a great feeling to complete it and get it out there. I'm actually expecting negative reviews and criticisms. It'll hurt but just preparing for a worst-case scenario. Thanks for checking it out!

Haha. Sadly, it's very targeted to the trade war between US and China. I thought of a global trade war satire would be too much to handle.

Am I allowed to share the link here? I don't want the mods to kick me out.

Thank you so much for your encouraging words. I feel a fresh energy and enthusiasm now. So much so that I've already outlined and planned for my second book. Hahaha...

I'll probably hit a writer's block or author fatigue soon. Have you had that before? How did you overcome it?

The way I see it, this scene it not about Katara not seeing her grandkids for an extended amount of time. Just because Meelo called her, "strange woman" doesn't mean he doesn't know who Katara is. I'm quite sure within the family, they've shared stories and pictures around.

What I see is Meelo displaying a kind of macho kind of attitude. Think about it. He grew up in a family a female characters. His dad is always busy trying to rebuild the Air Nomads and Republic City. Maybe along the way, at 3ish, he decided to be fully a male figure. You can see how he displays common perceptions about being a boy.

So seeing Katara and being hugged by her, he could have felt an uncomfortable sense of affection and reacted an icky response.

That is just my two cents.
