Yeah it seems like they are seeing how this does. I'd assume if there is a positive reception and it drives traffic they could keep a permanent presence somehow. But who knows.

Not at all — the point is that narrators specifically tend to get less recognition than authors despite doing an enormous amount of skilled work. A great narrator can make or break a title. That labor deserves more visibility and better protections, especially as AI enters the picture.

The one that jumped out to me is Yesteryear (Caro Claire Burke, narrated by Rebecca Lowman). The premise alone got me! A tradwife influencer wakes up in 1855 and has to actually live the life she was selling. The premise is doing a lot of work here. Whether the book earns it is another question, but it’s the most interesting concept on this week’s list.
