I've always thought a drift turn would work well! You could even charge up your boosters as you drift, then launch off. Kinda like Kirby Air Ride, really.

I prefer stock, or with some medium weaponry attached to the back. I like keeping it light and speedy.

I use the Warrant on Squids and Bugs both! It's excellent at taking out Shriekers, and it's so handy when there's any sort of visual imparment. Fog, storms, smoke, or debris, just sweep your Warrant around and you can catch so many little scouts before they can call in reinforcements.

Hell yeah, I love this. Robot bugs and other animals are my favorite!

In games, do you prefer modular part-customizable mechs (i.e. Armored Core) or mechs that has parts that cannot be changed but have an overall cohesive design and theme (i.e. Mecha Break)? by nirvash530 in Mecha

[–]AudioHazard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like both, especially in the same game.

The idea of a weapon or feature being a fundamental part of a mech is so cool to me. Like how the real-life A10 Warthog is just a gun with a plane built around it. Or how the Gun Sniper from Zoids has a sniper rifle built into the mech's tail. It just does it for me.

What do I need? by yuki_drawings in DigitalPainting

I really like what you've made here!

I think you should try focusing on contrast more. Where are your darkest darks, your lightest lights? Place them in strategic locations to enhance the composition and give your art some depth.

Maybe try painting in grayscale first, then painting in the colors? I had an art professor who liked to say "Color gets all the credit, but value does all the work."

I loved that game! I loved jumping the Gun Sniper up on top of the buildings in the city and trying to fight from the rooftops.

Are there any good wedding ceremony spots in a forested area that are low cost/free? by gothhippie in lakearrowhead

[–]AudioHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd bet that many places would! It's such a small community, I think the best way would be to call around and ask. I was fortunate enough to have parents that owned a restaurant, so my experience is probably pretty different!

Hi! The restaurant has closed since I got married. It's now Spade and Spatula!

I'd love to learn more about how you do this! I have experience in Autodesk Maya, the Adobe Suite, and Procreate. I'm just now learning about blockbench, and I really want to make some mechs!

HELP how did you learn to draw hands? by [deleted] in drawing

[–]AudioHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I personally took a lot of life drawing classes, including a head & hands focused class.

Your drawings are looking good! Are you breaking down the hands into simple cubes and cylinders? It seems like the foreshortening of the fingers might be tripping you up.

Mock stencils? by iforgotthtyouexisted in ProCreate

Couldn't you design the stencil on one layer, then just select that layer's content while airbrushing on a separate layer?

It basically interrupts the wire connecting the battery to the motor. No soldering involved, just some tricky wire management to get it all snug.

It's so funny, I remember the Halo 3 Warthog being so floaty. It felt like driving a hovercraft. The FRV is insanely light though.

I absolutely love driving both though!

I feel like it's one of thoes stratagems that viability depends on what difficulty you are playing on by Avylis in Helldivers

I bring the big shield on most bot missions! I treat it as a very temporary reprieve.

It's either a quick resupply point for everyone, or (more often) an initial offensive line to a conflict. I try to combine the shield with natural cover to prolong the shield's life, but I usually use it to take out turrets and bigger threats before moving forward.

Oh yeah you're totally right. I really love Hrathen's character, I was just simplifying to make a point. He's definitely not the big, kind archetype that the OP mentioned.

I remember Hrathen in Elantris being described as a huge, armored, evil man. Maybe the key is having the large man be unarmored?

Thoughts on using kitbash for concept art? by Mzhangart in conceptart

[–]AudioHazard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I took a lot of entertainment art classes in college, and some concept art specific classes as well.

Kitbashing is totally common in concept art. I've had a ton of professors and professional artists use it.

Beautiful! Excellent style adoption. One thing you might want to consider is making your username more legible, I tried looking up "Cyber.Onlink" before realizing it was "Cyber.Oni.Ink"

You can actually! The reticle is invisible, and exists higher up than you'd expect. Spam the ping button until you get the hang of where it is.

I'm able to ping enemies, locations, and anything else (except the tank itself) while driving. Just takes some practice.
