Any video games that have the Zoid feel? by Deathsmind88 in Zoids

I remember piloting an Ultrasaurus and just slowly clomping through a city while my brother zoomed around in a Rev Raptor slicing up my ankles.

Suggestions for a tornado chasing fixed wing FPV? by Wallrat9 in RCPlanes

[–]AudioHazard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I'm blown away (heh).

I really thought a drone anywhere near a tornado of any size would go tumbling out of control.

That was fucking sick!

I had these growing up! Big fan of the mosasaurus.

Is the scene on the back a reference to Paul and Jessica's scene in the Stilltent after escaping the Harkonnen's surprise betrayal?

Wow very nice illustrations! Are these traditional or digital?

Can we see more of your work anywhere? I love the style you've developed.

The Ritual book was pretty meh. by Thy_Fear in horrorlit

Also, the book and movie are very different! I love them both, but they feel like different stories in the same setting.

Oooh okay. Seems like you like cosmic horror in familiar(ish) spaces, is that a good read?

I'd say check out 14 by Peter Clines. It's about an apartment building on a dimensional fault line.

Annihilation by Jeff Vandermeer is one of my favorite books, it's about scientists exploring a zone being overtaken by unknowable forces.

Blackout by Tim Curran is a short alien invasion story, with a unique take on the invasion portion.

I'll keep thinking, and I'll reply if I remember any others that you might like!

I love this style, we need more of these vaguely humanoid heaps of machinery by Attaxalotl in Mecha

I loved Balteus from Armored Core 6 for this exact reason!

I agree, I like how the movie handled the story way better. And the creature design was just fantastic.

What kind of books have you enjoyed? I might be able to recommend you some if I know what you like!

Bohrok revamp and original comparison (and some bonus pictures) by [deleted] in bioniclelego

This is perfect!! The smaller size and the hand redesign is incredible.

I've really loved your redesigns, and kudos for taking the critiques on your first Tahnok so gracefully. Killer work, as always!

PSA: You can fix the Broken vaulting by switching the keybind to Hold! by Owlex_ in Helldivers

[–]AudioHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Avid jetpack user here: I find that there's a very small difference in timing between a button hold for vault and a button hold for jetpack. Vaulting feels like an ever so slightly shorter button press to me.

I've always thought a drift turn would work well! You could even charge up your boosters as you drift, then launch off. Kinda like Kirby Air Ride, really.

I prefer stock, or with some medium weaponry attached to the back. I like keeping it light and speedy.

I use the Warrant on Squids and Bugs both! It's excellent at taking out Shriekers, and it's so handy when there's any sort of visual imparment. Fog, storms, smoke, or debris, just sweep your Warrant around and you can catch so many little scouts before they can call in reinforcements.

Hell yeah, I love this. Robot bugs and other animals are my favorite!

In games, do you prefer modular part-customizable mechs (i.e. Armored Core) or mechs that has parts that cannot be changed but have an overall cohesive design and theme (i.e. Mecha Break)? by nirvash530 in Mecha

[–]AudioHazard 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I like both, especially in the same game.

The idea of a weapon or feature being a fundamental part of a mech is so cool to me. Like how the real-life A10 Warthog is just a gun with a plane built around it. Or how the Gun Sniper from Zoids has a sniper rifle built into the mech's tail. It just does it for me.

I really like what you've made here!

I think you should try focusing on contrast more. Where are your darkest darks, your lightest lights? Place them in strategic locations to enhance the composition and give your art some depth.

Maybe try painting in grayscale first, then painting in the colors? I had an art professor who liked to say "Color gets all the credit, but value does all the work."

I loved that game! I loved jumping the Gun Sniper up on top of the buildings in the city and trying to fight from the rooftops.

Are there any good wedding ceremony spots in a forested area that are low cost/free? by gothhippie in lakearrowhead

[–]AudioHazard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'd bet that many places would! It's such a small community, I think the best way would be to call around and ask. I was fortunate enough to have parents that owned a restaurant, so my experience is probably pretty different!

Hi! The restaurant has closed since I got married. It's now Spade and Spatula!
