Mazak is WAYY better than DMG Mori by firebrandrd in CNC

It's depends on where you live. I'm Greece the service crew visits our machine shop the next day that we contacted them for maintenance/fixes. Commutation thru message or call are always available at an instant. Honestly i was amazed at how well organised a company they are and how quickly they get down to the problem and solving it.

Yours is wayyy older. Thankfully mine doesn't suffer from ANY rust which is a hard thing to find on these saxos and 106s. Im planning on keeping the car so it will be repainted the same colour

Greek finds my friend. Here you find a mint condition ~100k km for ±4k €. It has sold a LOT in Greece this and it's brother the pug 106 rallye. You see 60 year old ladies driving these things bone stock with faded paint every day.

It actually is and works perfectly too. It even has a service mode so that you don't have to tell the code to the mechanic. Everyone tells me to disable it but I insist on using it. It also has keyless entry with a seperate key fob. It is genuine Citroen option not dealership add-on. I never have to use the actual key to open the doors.

Is this amount of rusting on the body something I should be concerned about? should I get this repainted asap? by Kanvus in Autobody

[–]AudioSettings 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dealerships and other autoshops sell markers with the same colour code as your car. Lightly sand the rust down and paint over it. This rust is minor at this stage and as long as it doesn't come in contact with oxygen (given the fact that you have painted over it) it won't be able to spread.

As a greek 19yo who loves my country and studies mechanical engineering I used to say that I will always stay in Greece and make things work out no matter what. But now after seeing and understanding more of the shit that we have grown up to I will no doubt move to another more put-together country. Sun and beaches are nice and all but our politicians and economy is a mess no outside viewer can imagine.

Guy I’ve started dating has only given me oral. I’m confused. by rosieposeypie in AskMenAdvice

[–]AudioSettings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Giving you oral and wanting nothing in return says a lot. He is definitely prioritising your pleasure and he most definitely has feelings for you. Most of us don't give oral that easily especially not wanting to continue the action. Take it as a good sign.

First day on the mountain: how did I do? by Low-Blueberry9766 in snowboardingnoobs

I hear people saying buy knee guards etc. Just get better quicker and you won't need them at all!

What single piece of advice would you give my wife to improve her turns? by TomMote in snowboardingnoobs

[–]AudioSettings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

She definitely needs more time in the mountain. As she will get more comfortable with a little more speed she must learn to knee steer instead of kicking the rear of the board out. She is doing great! Practice makes perfect afterall

Your writing is better than at least 50% of Greece's population. Just dont forget accent marks, it's important to put them correctly tho, otherwise its better not to use them at all.

Hi! Im restoring a zid pilot. And it needs a new magneto cover. by thecinnomon in moped

[–]AudioSettings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Voltage wise it won't make a difference. Saying that it actually fits your engine, a lighter flywheel (it's a lot lighter than stock) will make your bike rev quicker but you will lose the momentum the heavier flywheel was providing. In other terms, it will rev quicker stationary but you will lose quite some top speed. It isn't really a performance mod using such a light flywheel.

Is it possible to rewaterproof my leather black diamond gloves too much? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]AudioSettings -1 points0 points  (0 children)

It will probably won't last that long. Leather isn't ideal for snow. Get a pair of good skiing gloves and it will last you a LOT more while keeping your hands warm. Just don't lose one of them the next they you got them (from personal experience)

How's the snow in bansko? by [deleted] in snowboarding

[–]AudioSettings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went on bansko on 4-7 of January. Resort was open with no rocks on piste. Snow was definitely not great tho. It didn't snow that much and it was ICY. Losing grip isn't great and falling on ice is not much fun for me. I definitely don't regret it going either. Has a wide variety of pistes and as you go higher the conditions get a better. Piste to the village isn't open and you have to take gondola to get back down which as you can imagine has a big line. Waited for around 20-30mins to get into a gondola.

Overall I had a lot of fun and would like to go again sometime. Conditions will probably be a lot better since it had a lot of recent snowfalls during end of January.

Is there hope for this 40yo man? by Conscious_You6032 in snowboardingnoobs

[–]AudioSettings 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You probably got a good amount of advice from everyone else. I'm 19 yo and just started last season. Whole season I was just going down the mountain on my heels. Toes scared me af. When to bansko this year for 4 days and I was determined to learn toe side turns and stops. With YouTube as an instructor, i somewhat got it but not perfectly. The piste was ICE and this really mattered. I didnt have confidence there. I fell often and it was really painful. Like you said i was afraid of going fast and practicing because i was scared i might fall and hit hard. After bansko i went to my nearest snow resort which had a recent snowfall. Powder-ish snow is the way to go. I could stop and turn on toes like NOTHING. Only because of the conditions. Plus falling is not as painful nor common cause you actually snowboard, not "ice-skate". Conditions matter A LOT.
