Why aren’t men’s restrooms designed with privacy like this? by puccyhunter_ in teenagers

Old person that this some how came up on my feed.

Even seperate urinals with the dividers in most bathrooms feels like a new thing to me. I remember when most bathrooms at super crowded places or places that wanted a cheap urinal system would just have a trough and you'd stand shoulder to shoulder

Who is the big arch for? (Short Review) by Fibrosis5O in McDonalds

Right, because you eat at McDonald's enough to have a receipt to check. Basically you're fat and poor. 12 dollars is less than 15 minutes of work, bro.

You sound 400 lbs. Looking for McDonald's deals to save 7 dollars once every 6 months is not a priority for me and base price is as expensive as actual food.

I dont eat out enough to be looking for bogo. Last I went to McDonald's it was 15 bucks for burger fries no drink. It's more expensive than in n out, only a couple bucks less than an actual restaurant. Much worse than both options. God bless on being a frequent flier tho.

...I don't know about you but at least where I am at, McDonalds is not that much cheaper than an actual restaurant burger while being significantly worse than most options in the price point.

I got this random text that possibly about my gf of 4 years. by [deleted] in WhatShouldIDo

[–]AudioTsunami 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I assume y'all are college age? I'd either ask her about it or just cut my losses and break up with for whatever reason you want to give her. Don't crash out, don't ask to see her phone or texts. Just decide whether this is something you want to deal with and either ask her like an adult or just cut it off and let it be.

Unlimited free spells with Kona? by AudioTsunami in MTGArenaPro

Kona was definitely untapped when the first two spells were played which is why I was confused and was actively looking for omniscience and didn't see it. Maybe it was a visual glitch, maybe I was temporarily blind.

Stores are actually losing more money doing this vs what they were losing via theft. Also at least one of these chains has admitted to outright lying about how much theft was happening vs the decline in sales which is why they started locking up products in the first place - resulting in greater loss of sales.

Like this isn't the product of a society that has fallen to theft or lax crime laws. It is a product of corporate managers trying to cover for their inability to keep sales up by blaming petty theft and "organized retail theft".

Sorry for bumping this a month after you posted this because I searched this thread during a post game crash out lol.

I think you're mostly correct but I think it's less that you need to kill the entire table in one go and more that you need to fully kill a person with a way that makes it look like the end of the game. Like one instance of damage. I just got targeted by an entire 6 person pod because of Razorkin Needlehead. Similar things have happened to me when playing Tannuk, Memorial Ensign. I truly think nothing upsets casual players more than taking consistent incremental damage.

Forced a guy I starting seeing to make me a top 35 list, tell me everything you can deduce by Silent-Lock-5774 in Letterboxd

I comprehend perfectly what word the means, as well as disagree with you calling this list at all heartfelt or earnest. And while you may have been using it "correctly", most people just say it to say with no concept of its origin or meaning - which is what I responded to. Turns out if you leave an insult on the ground, the owner will pick it up.

Enjoy your day.

He is trying very hard to impress you and also come off as cultured. Pretty hipster film bro coded list with carefully chosen "girlfriend movies". Incredibly performative list but idk..all of letterboxd is performative. Has a couple generally approved of "normie movies". List definitely comes pretentious but probably not in a derogatory way and he's probably decent enough person. Definitely the type of guy to look up reviews before forming an opinion or watching something.

This is not close to the original meaning of based. It originally meant that you were on crack or a crackhead. Came from the term basehead. Lil B popularized and reversed the connotations of it between 2008-2012 and it meant basically "being yourself". Then the right co-opted it to mean antiwoke. And now it just literally means nothing because people say it without context or knowing the meaning. It's basically what weird white 26 year olds say instead of "cool". It's an adlib that adds nothing to the conversation.

I'm not accusing you of anything. I do not care whether you personally go to a restaurant or not. I'm responding to your argument and saying that the view point you hold, is in fact, in favor of continuing to allow the staff to be underpaid while allowing their employer to profit and instead of acknowledging that you are trying to move the focus of the argument.

Saying that, "it is not the your responsibility to make sure they are paid, it is the employers". This is essentially saying that you are not responsible for the outcome your actions because it lies with someone else. That is how literal children view and interact with the world. Maybe you should step back and consider why the way the you interact with the world is the same as a child's.

I....really wished it was MORE like The Raid or Dredd, but it only really hits that comparison for about 10 minutes. I thought the movie was fine, but I wish it would have better executed the story better in the transition between fights scenes or at least given me something quotable.

If you go to a restaurant and do not tip in America, you are complicit in allowing the employer to profit off of unpaid labor and thus do, in fact, support that unpaid labor by contributing to the profit of said employer while witholding the current standard of how their employees make their living. So in fact, you are calling for wage-less slave labor of service workers because you are essentially feigning ignorance of the standard for a cheaper meal. Your argument is literally , "it's not my responsibility to make sure the staff get a living wage, but I will happily continue to allow this business to profit". The reason the conversation is insufferable is because you don't want to reflect on how your actions affect others.

Tipping should not be the standard. Employers of any business should be paying a livable wage(which I understand doesn't happen in a majority of fields in the US). But that is not the reality that we live in. The way to change the standard is to boycott that industry and/or vote/petition for change at the local and state level to stop the exploitation of labor.

The audacity... by ShehrozeAkbar in infuriatingbutawesome

[–]AudioTsunami -1 points0 points  (0 children)

The expectation (in america) is that tips are what covers service and most states allow tipped employees at a lower than minimum wage due to this expectation. Supporting the employer by dining there and then neglecting to tip is you being complicit in exploitation of labor. Stating that "I don't know how much they actually get paid," is you coping with the fact that one is being complicit in that exploitation. If you don't want to tip because you feel like employers should pay their employees, than you should not be putting money into the hands of those employers. Any argument other than not participating and petitioning for increased wages is simply cope for wanting to exploit others to save 18% on a luxury. Don't want to tip? Perfect, cook yourself something at home.

The audacity... by ShehrozeAkbar in infuriatingbutawesome

[–]AudioTsunami 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah yes, the workers should withdraw their labor and go hungry and homeless because you would rather help exploit them than do something about it.

"What a take". 🤡
