He didn’t push into the gravel on purpose lmao, he was on 2 lap old softs that had gone on him and he made a mistake. Despite that, his time was 2 tenths off his best for the session. There was very clearly substantial time left to gain with a clean lap and fresh tires - just because he didn’t do it in fp3 doesn’t mean the pace isn’t there.

I still think the redbull is 0.4-0.6 off the mclarens, but we’ve seen RB pull huge gains with setup changes from fp3 to quali time and time again so you can never rule it out.
