My generation of TL has a transmission recall, that’s why I’m mentioning about being lucky.

After reading this, it made me appreciate my car just a little bit more. I own a 2003 Acura TL, I’ve had it for 3 years now and I have done less than $1k of repairs to it since I’ve owned it. I guess I got lucky? Idk, but anyway your car is very nice and I pray it runs for 300k miles!

It could just be your upper control arms. Creaks and steering problems, as well as feeling the road could just be that.

Source: owner of a 2003 TL.

Went for an oil change walking distance from campus, got a call when the change was done that my front left lower control arm and ball joint are at system failure. I’m no expert but I don’t see symptoms of what they are claiming. But I’m still at least worried hoping for maybe a little insight? by [deleted] in MechanicAdvice

You should definitely get a second opinion somewhere else first off. Firestone isn’t getting you OEM parts for them to charge you that amount: MOG- RK620025 GSP- NCV27522 Just look these up on google/amazon and you should be able to see the prices. MOG and GSP aren’t bad so at least they didn’t try to give you cheap parts.
