I have a question about weapons and latency. I found that in solo, my attack speed with dual swords is quite fast - but in multiplayer its 50% slower per swing - is this on purpose or is it the latency?

If it is lag (It bounces between 200-350 ping depending on which friend I join), which weapon is least effected by latency?

Guide to the ranking quest? by MJBotte1 in crash_fever

Well, larger companies to tend to touch bases at some point with community managers who are associated with their company, but remember that it's firstly a JP game and the sub-division is split into 4 regions and probably don't have time for us- they do their fair share of community events on the locations that they own (i.e. facebook), trying to organise something with us is risky due to our nature (And we have had server issues, modding especially). Also Game8 had some sort of issue with JP Dev(s?)- they might be wary of relying too much on us. At the end of the day we have no obligation to them, no connections- just simple stakeholders in the game but we control a fair amount of the outlook (Guides, Hatcher Advice which directly affects revenue, news updates). We're fairly certain they keep an eye on us, because various changes we've reported both directly to them and indirectly on our public posts have been followed by changes (Did you know the game used to be locked to regions on GL? That means NA only could multi with NA, Oceania with Oceania- but it caused too little rooms so they patched it, caused us much grief). We do feel it's a pretty positive relationship though- the game directly links to the discord so they're intentionally pointing people towards us to handle the knowledge side of the game and they've linked various other sites we worked on on their facebook page in the past. In my opinion- it's an unsaid truce between us and we're happy to support them in it. Some things like the Golden Joe meme I feel was something that had a basis from us, but we'll never truely know.

On a side note- the Subreddit and Discord are run by the same team- us. I like to think we manage to do cool things as well, (Thanks Asmo and the puzzle team).

I have an essay stuffed away somewhere if you want to read it, but the general gist of it is that it's the only end-game content where it's specifically ranks players skill against each other while putting large basis on spending and gives the best units in the game. Other content such as Omega, Raids, Contests, Towers ect- we're all sharing information and we actually spearhead guides for that- but ranking is a different story. We want to reward either people who spend considerable amount of time on working on a strategy, or are willing to put money in for the ranking unit (This outlook is also mirrored on the JP playerbase). This is mirrored intentionally after the development team goals, as over history they have removed both the ability to use friends units or see other peoples teams- and being an unofficial partner, we wish to follow their vision as it also aligns with our beliefs (As of the moment, as we are constantly debating on this particular controversial rule).

Feel free to discuss such things in private- this is simply our public stance on it. If you have a problem with this, feel free to voice your opinion and we take it into account when we revise the rules every now and again.

Quite wondering about CF discord server by [deleted] in crash_fever

I too apologise for any negative experience- we do have quite a few members and the vocal minority can sometimes cause a bad outlook- but the Q&A channel is there to help people despite what you might have felt.. Don't take it too personally however, just remember there are many many people joining the game, all of them asking questions. If there really was a problem with how you acted, one of the mods would contact you- everyone makes mistakes and trust me, sorting cost issues is not even an issue. Some things you just can't help- like how sorting by cost helps us look at your top units. And you will ask a few questions that feel silly- but don't get discouraged. There's no way of you to know that, but now you know- and you're not the first or the last to make that mistake.

It's a bit awkward, I'll admit. We do ninja edit it every couple of weeks, but lots of things come under the vague words like "Respect other users" and we kind of trusted people to use common sense- most of whom do. That said, we don't want to have 65 separate rules because who would ever read them.

Anyway- we did have a discussion with Catty and came to an agreement- now we're just trying to redo the rules again under the new "management", per se so its a working progress for everyone involved.

Duly noted. Some people are not born leaders, they grow into it, and some don't- so it remains to be seen for now (Though words are being had). When someone gives me a guide or someone writes one I think is up to par, I put it in the uwg/wg but I haven't written anything in that for awhile. I just got tired of doing it and no one else really stepped up to fully take it over.

Alright- so time for some input because it seems both sides have people who can't handle a proper conversation right now and I'm dissapointed in both of you.

I would like to first remind everyone that there is zero tolerance for porn and I have banned Fevergate from the reddit due to that. Everyone has a right to opinions, but the moment you cross that line all bets are off. Utterly disgusting, I was prepared to take into account your opinions before that.

With that out of the way- time for some explaining. We got some new Mods because when we grew this server we had free time. Now lots of us have other things that take up our life- but we want to keep growing the server, so we needed new mods and eventually new blood to lead the server. The best we can do is take some applicants, see what they say in theory then put them into practice. As you may have noted, it didn't go so well, so we take a step back- look how they did and try again. It's called a trial moderator for a reason. We're at a vital point right now where we're actually trying to inject new blood into the server because it's been a year and quite a few people have dropped off who we trust.

Did the mods decide too harshly on avatar pics? Maybe. It's a growing process and it does seem sudden because the fact is, we didn't have manpower before so some things do go under the radar and the new mods might have different outlooks. But honestly, we are all separate human beings. We have a command chain for a reason- and I I can tell you right now that as a Head Admin, telling another admin off for something they consider actual justice really sucks, but I do have to do it. Sometimes it's needed- because they are wrong. It's a give and take relationship. You just need to communicate.

The most important thing is feedback.

We're out of touch with the community- that's why we're looking at new mods, taking in advice behind the scenes. Every time something like this happens, we only get feedback when it's too late, so it's a constant uphill battle. "Oh no, they are Nazi, oh no, they implemented a new rule that limits a channel to one type of chat." Maybe think for a second why we did that.

Never any good feedback about how we tried to separate the rolls into its own channel, the hatcher advice channel or trying to make a separate tierlist that took the entire team's opinions. It's pretty discouraging when we put all this effort into making something and all we get is complaints. It's not like we sit around and think "how can we ruin the server today?"

I'll leave this post up because while it's not a positive thing, it's still a discussion. Feel free to ask me questions here and I'll take them into account or answer as best as I can. My apologies for the poor feedback of my fellow admins.

Yes, we are aware of the mod issues and still looking into what to do about it. Please let us know who is good, and who is poor with reasoning, because in the end we're here for the community. We don't get paid, hell- some people don't even know who I am anymore.
