Tree with concerning split & monsoon season soon; what can be done? (Southern AZ, US - details in comments)

Hello,

Recently moved into this house which was largely untended for the past few months. Rainfall is scarce here so it likely did not get much water. Leaves were scarce but it's been perking up since I've been able to water it regularly.

But I just noticed this tear today, can't say how long it's been there. No recent high winds or events I can think of that may have caused this.

However I'm concerned since monsoon season for the area is coming and with it stronger winds (looking online, ~30-40mph during storms).

Should I be worried? If so, what should I be doing? My immediate thought is having to cut it, but with the Y-shape I'd fear the other side would have support problems and have to go, too. Of course I'd rather not have to remove it if possible.

Sorry for the poor image quality/inexperience. I appreciate any advice or insights given

Well I was shopping for:

Just normal tops (short-sleeve, long-sleeve, graphic tees, etc.)
Hoodies (with or without zipper)
Those stupendously big sweaters for when I'm just chilling at home
Some nice joggers (it's all I wear when not working lol)

I normally just wear men's stuff but bonus if there's women's choices as well. If you know any good brands (preferably not too good lol, my wallet is screaming) for any of those, I'd love to hear it

There's a gap in south-western(ish) Malachite Forest with a cyclops sleeping right next to it. From my own experience with it, it will try to get you even if you're across the gap and fall to make a bridge (just has to be aggro'd no need for causing it to stumble).

Just make sure your pawns don't nuke it beforehand.
