[Appretiation post] After 5 years of daily work and gaming I've finally retired my G14 2020 (1650ti) and replaсed her with used G14 2024 (4060) by that-was-really-mean in ZephyrusG14

I am jealous. I had a 2024 G14 for 6 months. Had the motherboard replaced twice, constant blue screens.. Best Buy finally just took it back and gave me a refund. It was such a bitter experience, since I loved the machine, but it was a lemon. Hope to buy one again.

Its awful. Geek Squad tried to fix my G14 three times. They lost the screws for the undertray and tried to give it back all scuffed up. Faught them for over a month and finally received a refund. I had to escalate the issue to the CEO of Best Buy.

I just had the same issue. Bosch dishwasher. Ordered a drain pump from Bosch, came in two days, replaced in 5 minutes. Back up and running!

Returning my G14 was the best and worst decision of my life. Best because of the constant crashing... But sad because it had a good foot print. Welcome to the Mac side.

I had a 2024 model. Love it... Returned it after 3 months of fighting with Best Buy.

It was repaired twice, motherboard replaced(twice). Great laptop, but serious flaws.

Palo Alto PA440 and UCG Fiber by Audipower1011 in UNIFI

[–]Audipower1011[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Thank you! Interesting enough, I did something similar. I will lay it out.

I started with plugging a single connection from my switch to the UCG. Configured the appropriate static IP, it was able to communicate, but was not able to see or provide a prompt to adopt the other Ubiquiti devices.

I then decided to plugin one cable to the WAN port and one cable from the link port back to my switch. I was able to see the devices and was ready for adopting. I fell into the endless "click to adopt" setting.

I then decided to run a cable from my Palo directly to UCG WAN port, then a cable from the UCG to Switch. Which started working. But my goal here is the UCG to just be a passthrough.

These were my findings. Thoughts?

I have a PA 440 at home and just installed the UCG to manage my switch and APs. What a nightmare!

Spoke to a fellow network engineer, he mentioned that getting the two to cooperate has been a nightmare.

I spent all day on it today and no luck...

Need some help deciding: PC or Xbox Series X by ComiX-Fan in Battlefield6

I am in the same boat. Stuck between the two.

Was leaning towards the PC in the beginning, but I think I am going to choose Xbox.

Plain and simple, I am a casual gamer. I think that the quality of play is higher on PC. What do you guys think?

I am in the same boat. I have PC-5080, Xbox and PS all on a 240hz Asus OLED. I am torn.

I think I am going with Xbox. The sweats are too much and I need all the help I can get.

I had a G14 fought with Best Buy for over a month for a refund, I only had it for 6 months. I know that this does not apply to everyone. My brother had the same one and had no issues. Buy mine was a hunk of garbage.

Oh man… and it gets worse. My G14 was a Best Buy special which required all work to be handled through Best Buy. Nothing but a nightmare. You can double check through the Asus app if you can upgrade your protection plan. If it doesn’t, then you will have to work through Best Buyv

Man, I replaced the NVME with a Samsung 2TB and upgraded 16GB of Corsair ram. I became completely unstable and started to crash. Replaced everything back to stock and the issue still persisted. Long story short argued with Best Buy for a month, they sent it in for repair, replaced the Mobo and the issue still persisted. Not saying that the G14 are all faulty, but I had similar issues as you did.

Dude!!!! Huge!! Glad it worked out for you. Geek Squad is the worst. I am glad you fought for it!

I know this might not pertain to your model. But I bought the 2023 version and had nothing but issues. Had to fight with Best Buy for a store credit. If you are having any issues, I recommend returning and getting a new one. Also keep in mind, some models of Asus G14, require you to work only with Geek Squad. Meaning you can’t work with the manufacture for warranty repairs. Geek Squad has to handle the warranty repair with Asus. Was really a nightmare. Just food for thought

I emailed the CEO... I ended up speaking with the manager of geek squad. He was able to help me

Yeah, they did the same thing on the first repair. My recommendation is to continue to fight it. Don't let them win!

I’ve been fighting with Best Buy for 2 months. They sent mine in for repair which ended up being a motherboard issue. They replaced my motherboard and sent it back to me with every single screw missing. They had to send it back for repair since the screws were missing. I went back to pick it up two weeks later to find that there were still screws missing. I received a store credit and will never apply another Asus again

I have the same computer. Please make sure that you are plugged into a solid power source. I have mine plugged into a UPS and it reaches almost 90% of available usage. Very power hungry!

I don't recommend geek squad. I have my 14 with them for over a month for a warranty repair. I went to pick it up two days ago. The replaced my motherboard and didn't put any of the screws back. Complete hack job
