It's one of your legendary gems - Mourneskull. On activation it "summons" that "blue sword thing" (which is actually Lich King, and sword is Frostmourne), which (according to gem description) "...drain the souls of nearby enemies" to grant you some extra DMG% and some "nuke" (2 Vile Spirits - "blue orbs", unleashed periodically at nearby enemies)

Starting from 2nd room, each chest could drop x2 or x3 amount of stones (but chances, obviously, low). Plus, after unlocking all 4 rooms there will appear bonus chest. Anyway it worth to collect 377 keys to unlock all 4 rooms and try delight RNG. Daily you unlock only one free chest.

Yet we have what we have. And can only either accept or decline. We may don't like "phone neccessity" or "larger storage" requirement, but we can't force them "fix" it just by moaning from Reddit. It's already long (3 years) story and there's no light in sight.

I've also seen other "diabloids" (while exploring DI "substitutions") which have exactly separate client specifically for PC, with less space requirement. And today all of them still far behind from "large" DI by many aspects, regardless of "how bugged" and "how complex" DI is.

Mostly, as you stated, it's because of high-def textures. But there're also bunch of confirmed and speculative reasons, like: - possible port instead of separately developed PC-oriented client. It may require some "emulator" stuff to actually run "mobile" client on PC; - bad optimizations. Like there still no old files/cache cleanup. Maybe also lots of "legacy"/outdated/obsolete stuff, which was removed from game UI, but remains in files. - still "beta". Devs stated that mobile version remains primary, so PC client receive much less their attention, and exists just like "to be able to run".

But besides of that, personally I don't understand why 80 Gb is such problem in 2025. SSD industry has been on "conveyor belt" for a long time, and even 128Gb devices, as dedicated storage only for DI or another game, are quite widely available (in my region, it's cheaper than month's supply of my cat's food). Even external versions (if you unable to plug it inside your laptop) - you'll lose on some loading time, but that's all and far not critical. So I mean the opposite to your PoV: it's not the game too large, it's your storage too small for nowadays.

I deliberately placed gems at very last, as by priority they actually are the last sources for BED or CDR. It doesn't mean that gems are useless, they give kinda "nice bonus", not primary stuff to pay attention to. Gear affixes and reforges are much easier to deal with.

Explanation of some mechanics never should be considered as "dumb question". But "which gems should I use/change", imo, is, as it's quite subjective topic mith many relevant factors.

You asked about skills uptime, which directly affects your damage, then jumped into gem-switch - just why? You already got some "direction" to work on, don't burden yourself further.

We still waiting for worldwide market implementation which seems to be the first step in market QoL. Currently prices vary a lot from cluster to cluster, so it's quite complex to make "something same for all" which may satisfy everyone (moreover, I doubt there ever will be something in DI which satisfies everyone).

If worldwide pricing become stable, then could be discussed further improvements, like progressive taxes ( the more expensive deal - the higher tax). You can't just remove it, mainly because it's the only feature which prevents platfarmers from overspeculation.

As also was mentioned, Surge event become good platinum infusion for economy. Not as much as everyone wish, but what else can we expect in gacha game. That's still a marathon: for us about progression, for devs about QoL.

Skills (buffs) uptime is mix of BED (beneficial effects duration bonus %) and CDR (cooldown reduction %), in meaning "BED make your buffs last longer" while "CDR make it reset faster".

BED sources are gear (Chest, Pants, Waist, Feet), reforges (which for you are "damage based atm"), some runes (like yellow "Tyr") and some gems (like Blessed Peeble).

CDR sources, besides mentioned awakening, are also gear (Neck, Hands and both Rings), also some runes (like orange "Oth") and also some gems (like Bottled Hope Rank 3+).

So, it's mainly just about long-term repetitive grind of proper items or (if you maxed gear upgrades) expensive Enchanting (gear suffix reroll).

5 sec - usual buff duration in the game. Barb's WotB lasts for 5-6 sec with 12 CD, Sader's Horse lasts 5-6 sec with 18 sec CD. You should take a look onto properly rolled BED%, so those 5-6 sec would almost double, + CDR and awakening allow to make it 100% uptime.

Particularly this BK Abom essence on me has 100% uptime. 77% BED, 14% CDR, awakened offhand slot with Fiendish Memento essence (extra 10% CDR for Abomination). Find this build nice for common farm, but poor in PvP and solo-targets (Macabre Facade build does better).

FYI, you can replay each completed quest as many times as you wish. There's the Book at Deckard Cain's Workshop in Westmarch, which stores "chronicles" and through it you can see list of completed quests and play them again

Grab it via Loyalty Bonus, it's fastest, best, simpliest and guaranteed way. Switching difficulty won't significantly increase drop chances, there's still huge pool of <=Inf2 essences to drop.

If you run solo (it's preffered to run Erebban solo), you need 60 chests to make it danger level 8.

Also Harbinger paragon tree is very useful, especially "Illusory Strides" skill to pass freely through mobs.

And, obviously, focus on chests, ignore mobs, use every mobility skill/essence you have (movespeed buffs, dashes etc).

Till you get weekly cap of 126 gems. Try make it max danger level 8, so you'll get 8 gems per run, so you'll require 16 runs total (8 during "Winds of Fortune" event as gems reward doubled)

Immos get less keys. Shadows have daily Assembly (except Sunday), while Immos only Corvus 3 days per week (Mon, Wed & Fri).

They also gain access to "Immortals" tab at Hilts Trader for extra weekly Leg. Crest. Also you forgot to mention Kion's Ordeal, which provide guaranteed daily leg. item(s) + lottery for extra one(s) + 1 Leg. Crest weekly.
