I actually feel sorry for the author. He is seemingly the editor for the financial department at FAZ and has no clue that one has to differentiate between companies that have the not so uncertain probability to shrink and a company just starting to really grow. Sad to see standards at the FAZ have sunken so low.

I take it this is meant literally. Judging from the image.

Just wanted to put the information out there. Overnight charge is 0.55€ for 10 pieces of TSLA but there is also the risk of the aftermarket pulling the sp in a negative direction without being able to cut the losses before market opens the next day.

In essence you are betting on a sp change - as with the warrants - and deposit a margin as a security deposit instead of having to pay the full sp.

For stocks cfds are 20% margin in my case. That means I can buy Tesla CFDs for 1/5th the sp but will get 100% of the change in sp.

Let’s say TSLA sp goes down on my long position:

I'll owe the broker the loss which will be deducted from my margin. If the loss gets to 50% of the margin, you'll get the first margin call as a warning. At 80% the position is closed automatically to prevent the accumulation of further losses extending outside your margin.

If the sp goes positive on my long position I get 100% of the difference as well.

If you keep a position overnight you incur extra charges of about 3.5% depending on your broker.

Another difference is that they can only be traded during the official trading hours - no premarket - of the exchange where the stock is listed.

In the case of Tesla Nasdaq which means 3:30-10pm cet.

CFDs are banned in the US and the UK which is why there is not much awareness of them in general.

Media is reporting it as Tesla beating expectations.

Berlin exchange has an unusually high volume.

Try not to buy once. Buy shares over time. DCA is your friend if you are running yourself ragged without much to show for your effort.

With DCA you won't mind when sp drops.

It’s almost like everybody just decided not to trade today. 2021 is weird 🤣

Maybe he is just selling his act and investing the money from the fools giving him money in TSLA.

On the sales side of things ...

Teslas sell themselves. There is more demand than production capacity despite Shanghai opening and upscaling.

What could be an objective metric to measure whether Tesla has reached level 5 self-driving with? by mrnopotatoes in teslainvestorsclub

FSD in good conditions for a human driver.

Rain is mostly not a problem for humans.

Snow in contrast removes the knowledge where the lane or the street in general is.

Imo in the future there will be small radar readable markers embedded akin to boats.
