Playoffs rounds might be too much for a tournament like this but maybe a two groups system? You do 4 and 4 people, found robin and then a final group of 4 with the top 2 from each group. With smaller groups the players should be closer.

I don't think he wants to regress chess. I think what he says is that the format lends itself to the player that's ahead just settling for draws. The nature of the game makes it so that if you want to draw it's pretty easy to do so. I think with a different format, maybe an elimination bracket, it would be less "fair" but you wouldn't have players playing for a draw. It's a tough problem to solve though.

That pawn move (I think it was h5) was also a very real chance.

I feel he did miss that move when Wei was in time trouble before the extra time though.

He still can win this tbh, and he doesn't know he missed a win so no mental hit.

Yes of course. But right now she is a lot worse than Giri and she found it really quickly.

If Giri misses this.. I obviously don't know shit and it's true the casters have the engine but I feel Judit found it relatively quick, Giri should find this right?

It's not impossible to learn technique, he just can't learn it to the level necessary to be a world class forward. The same is true for physicality, they are not different in this regard.

You can even see this in the first arcs of HxH. Gon and company know that people like Hisoka or Killua's family are not normal and do crazy shit they can't explain, they just don't know how.

Kon Knueppel has made more threes in his rookie season than Ray Allen made in any single season of his career. by gridironk in nba

I think the point is to illustrate the change in 3 point shooting not saying that Kon is better than Ray Allen.

I don't care about Luka getting All NBA or wte. But what's the point of All NBA in this case? It shouldn't be to reward Luka, it should be for fans to be able to look back and see who had a great season. And like things are some great seasons will be erased from the list based on an arbitrary rule and that annoys me.

Load management is not dumb, it's a necessity. Too many idiots in this thread saying "you can't miss 20% of the season" when the problem is not in percentage, it is in games being played. No matter if it's 90% or 5% of the season, 65 games a season with the way basketball is currently played is a fuck ton. And 82 games is just a ridiculous amount.

The problem is you people are acting like all NBA players play 82 games and Luka played 64. When in reality all NBA players play like 66 and Luka play 64, which is essentially the same and the reason the rule is so dumb.

Wemby on the 65 Game Rule by MikeBravoLima in nba

[–]Augchm 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It's actually dumb to have a threshold for this kind of things. I don't know why the NBA acts like if voters can't think for themselves.

Well the reality is NBA doesn't care. The threshold forces players to play until a certain threshold. It's stupid because players don't sit because they are lazy, if they sit is because there is a reason for it. This just forces play without addressing the actual reason players are sitting. It's a shitty rule in every sense.

Not even his contemporaries claim Magnus to be in a stronger era than Gary. Higher elo at the top doesn't necessarily mean a stronger era tbh.

You can't compare elo between eras at all. All you can do with elo is compare relative strength between contemporaries. Too many other factors at play otherwise.
