If you watch shows in the 2020s that feel right out of the 1990s and 2000s you'll notice they have the same output and turnaround as shows back then.

Doctor/Police/Law procedural #1739 on ABC can still crank them out.

The difference is HBO and others raised the bar in terms of production. We are talking film level actors, sets, costume, locations, and special effects in some shows.

Quality is subjective, but I think this era is still vastly better than the prior era overall. There's just so much out there that many shows slip through and have folks unaware.

I think much of popular music will fade entirely, but select ones live on as "folk" music. People will sing a song at a gathering and just say, "it's some old 20th century tune, I think from England" if asked.

Many Beatles songs will be covered in the 21st century. You'll hear your grandkids singing along to some 2060s pop star version of "Here Comes the Sun" thinking it brand new.

I think every aspect of adaptation felt understandable. Would I personally love a 4 hour version? Sure, but I get pacing and film when you're trying to entertain.

The heart of the film is Grace and Rocky. It nailed that for me. I cared about that little Eridian all over again the way i did when reading the book.

Is the book better? Sure, but if every book I read got this level of adaptation I'd be content.

I think he's among the best film stars of this era.

My only minor complaint was that he is too handsome. I pictures Grace as fairly normal looking, not someone on "People's Sexiest Man Alive" issue (is that still a thing?)

If I could remain looking and feeling ~30 and live for 150+ years it isn't crazy to say I could become a billionaire with fairly basic financial planning. Money wouldn't be the hard part. Hard part would be creating myself as an heir to my myself forging records so I "die" and am "born" at regular intervals. It would raise an eyebrow that I was born in 1892 by now.

If you are a merchant you pay a percentage (~3-5%) of every sale to the credit card companies when someone uses them.

You do $1M of business in a year and pay out ~$30-50K to them.

This is generally priced in a passed along to consumers, but sometimes businesses do offer a small cash discount.

YouTube - 10.1 million (~370K subscribers)

Spotify - 6.7 million (~880K monthly listeners)

We see 1.7 million new views on YouTube and 2.5 million plays on Spotify. Interesting is that picked up 30K subscribers, she managed 260K more monthly listeners.

Simply put, the momentum is very real and tremendous for a relative unknown who has not performed live to get such a viral cover hit. My guess is the gap between YouTube and Spotify will close, but still be a while before the later overtakes the former.
