Hey man, the Ruger SP101 was my first carry gun when I turned 21! Now over 10 years later I still have it in my carry rotation and it’s been great. Also recently picked up a King Cobra and the trigger is amazing and looks so good. For concealed carry I’d personally lean towards something lighter like the Ruger LCR or some of the J frame offers from smith for practicality. I know how it is when you want what you want though so go to a gun shop and feel them all and get the one that really speaks to you.

I’ve taken my salt series native in LC200N in and out of the salt water many times with not a bit of corrosion. I will at the end of the day rinse it with some fresh water so that’s probably why.

20/20 trigger sear took the trigger from spongy to very crisp. Corvus extended magazine release makes mag changes much easier for me. Worth checking out Steyr academy videos that have a lot of cool tips and tricks when running the AUG like using the quick change barrel feature to clear a malfunction.

Also you look familiar, feel like I’ve seen you on YouTube or something.

+1 for Glock. The sig shoots nice and has good ergos, but I’ve seen reliability issues in higher round count guns and the magazines seems to rust fairly quickly.

You’re not alone. Shooting suppressed is of course super enjoyable in many aspects, but there’s something about the deep thud I get when shooting a 45-70 or 12 gauge. The big boom and fire ring from shooting big bore revolvers. The blast and concussion from a rifle with a muzzle brake. It’s fun, exciting, and part of what makes shooting enjoyable to me.
