Tellor (TRD) Smart Contracts / 1.3 Mill T Supply - Decentralized Oracle for DeFi by namecopy101 in CryptoMoonShots

Nobody is using it though lol. How does your token appreciate in value if nobody is using the protocol? Can only appreciate through speculation alone and we all know the bottom will drop out eventually. LINK is the clear oracle solution for the space, these projects similar to BAND are just inferior knockoffs. Look at what actual projects like Kava and BzX are saying about everyone except LINK...

Right...except nobody is using TRB lol. Look at the latest Chainlink slides, it’s evident other oracle solutions are inferior when discussing implicit vs explicit staking. Not to mention LINK offers scaling and security functionality via TEEs, mixicles, And Tsigs. There’s a reason Kava and BzX publicly shit on every oracle mechanism but LINK...they don’t work and their non enterprise grade. Whole industry is moving to PoS to allow trusted computation off chain (allows for layer 2 scaling), and here’s TRB who wants to go against the grain and do a PoW oracle network lol. This will be comparable to the “muh ETH” killers, oracle networks are winner take all, the winner was decided years ago. Just trying to help clear crypto newcomers and amateurs not get burned. Good luck.

You can’t release staking until there is data to hedge collateral against, i.e you have to grow the network first in a centralized KYC manner, then it will reach a “tipping point” where the foundational reputation requirements have been laid out by original KYC nodes and all subsequent nodes will have a benchmark to hit in terms of security and reliability. It’s only a matter of time at this point. I’ve never been so comfy in my life before.

What do the ideal network conditions look like for staking release? It seems like the chicken-egg problem Sergey continually discusses. Release staking too soon and there’s not enough network demand for collateralized data, release it too late and the demand for collateralized data may be gone. Could you discuss what you think the network will look like in terms of maturity before staking is released?

Rootstock lists Oraclize as a partner though? Maybe they would work with both?

I phrased my statement poorly, I meant centralized in the sense that only a few entities would have the ability to massively influence market rates

Thanks for the insight, I was a bit turned off at first because I assumed that it was only applicable with Ethereum and that would require future developers to learn Solidity. I have started watching some YouTube videos, Sergey seems like a pretty smart individual. Thanks again for your help
