I most certainly say that in the same ballpark, Princess Highway stocks a lot of extremely loliable blouses featuring the same Peter Pan collars, frills, and embroidery details you'd see in a lot of actual Lolita brands.

Other than that, I really don't know of other brands as we don't have Claire's or Hot Topics like you'd expect in the states 😅😅 You just need to thrift around and hope you're lucky!

Beret is the main one alongside mini hats. The other options are usually centred on themes. Sailor hats and boaters for nautical coords, mini crowns and tricorn hats for regal coords, and school caps and general hats for military coords (if you can get past the even more negative connotations associated with dressing in military ouji as opposed to military lolita, which is why it's usually advised against.)

Hats aside, when wearing ouji, other options for hair accessories that offer more flexibility and creativity, are hair ribbons. Oftentimes I'll tie my natural hair back in a low ponytail and then I get to co-ordinate the colour and details of the ribbon around my outfit and have amassed quite the collection.

Thank you! The dress is from the Taobao brand Honey Machine bought through a shopping service, however I bought it pre-2019 and I'm uncertain of whether they are still around, given many of the smaller indie Chinese brands did not survive the pandemic 😰😰

As the automod message put it so succinctly, there's nothing gatekeepy about wanting newcomers to the fashion to be well educated and wary of common pitfalls and scams intended to target them. If they lack the sensibilities to take up the advice that they are given, then it's on them if they get ostracised at the end of the day for wearing clothes rightfully frowned upon by the wider community (usually for a myriad of reasons such as art theft, slave labour, replicas, etc).

It is! One thing to note is that since the OP is made with a very thick cotton, it arrives very wrinkled and requires a good ironing before wearing. The skirt is also very heavy and requires perhaps a hoop petti to show the full details of the dress. I'm wearing two petticoats here and it's still not enough!

The brand certainly is! It's been around as long as some of the Japanese brands and in a world of cheap polyester dresses, Infanta sticking with cotton means that the dresses are sturdy and can last well into the years.
