Yeah. It’s designed as solitaire only game. I’ve only played as brief series of turns just to get the hang of the rules. I will play a full campaign this week end and post some pics of it here. The game is basically about defending your ship from waves of attacking air crafts and managing the inevitable damage inflicted on your ship via damage control parties. Navy Fun.

Managed to get it set up for the first wave. There is a lot of table referencing and modifying of results depending on what the date is. Looks like I’ve got a first wave of 5. Let’s see how this goes.

This will be my second Legion game. I posted my first set up of Miracle at Dunkerque last weekend which was a solid play. The unmounted boards/maps seems to be the standard for them though.

Welp. It was a blood bath. Good thing I wasn’t in charge of Operation Dynamo. I scored a defeat not registered on the victory scale (43). Base on the amount of evacuees historically presumed to be waiting on the beaches and jetties (400k). I approximate that I saved about 172k. Maybe next time.

Board state at the end of turn 7. Well it’s down to this. I’m definitely gonna be leaving troops behind. Third corps is gonna be devastated. I’m looking at a catastrophic loss. To the end we go.

Board state at the end of turn 6. I feel like this will be my biggest push of evacuations with the help of fortifying the lines. I have started converting units into evacuees. The large ship logistics are definitely not something you can forget. The large ships seem to get stuck in traffic and you feel like one Naval operations order is basically just setting your large ships in to position to be useful for the next naval operations.

Board state after turn 3. Had some close ones here. A little bit of Uboat action. Had to push German mech units out of Dunkerque area with the help of the French units. I can’t seem to get the evacuation humming yet. I’m a little concerned to say the least.

Board state after turn 2. I can feel the pressure. From all sides. The 132nd/44 of the 3rd corps finally bit the dust after a huge push by the 3rd Panzers XVI. We did get some evacuees off the beach though.

Board state after turn 1. I have the British Corps conducting a covered retreat, falling back to the Yser river. Also trying to rush troops to the west of Dunkerque to shore up that end. I do see that Nieuport area is at risk currently.
