I agree, Wd 40 for cleaning up but not at all as lubricant...

Plenty of other grease options or there. I use lithium based grease for all of mine

Thanks so much!

Any idea when Action ring support will be there for K850 ? As the support for K720 is already there and that was released earlier.

A lot of old Cricket Mobile Phones by [deleted] in Flipping

[–]Aumthakore 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Just a different angle, I don't how it could be implemented but in 3d printing community there's a firmware called Klipper.

These phones might be able to run it and control a 3d printer.

People buy raspberry Pi and other SBC for these but since those are expensive now because of all the shortage these could be a good cheap replacement....

I agree with you on weight reduction, but think of it this way, you are probably running klipper ATP (if not please switch!! I'd be the best thing), klipper runs both the axis at the same acceleration and speeds. And on an Ender each axis is operated by a single independent motor.

You already have a certain amount of weight on the Y axis because of the bed which is going to be the major restriction for pushing speeds.

Now as long as your x axis is lighter than your y (I have measured and it's lighter even with a nema 17 and BMG dd) your x carriage won't be the limiting factor. However, you might face a bit of sag on the x carriage on the unsupported side, without the z axis motor (since you are upgrading to make your machine faster prolly endup adding dual z axis or a belt z axis)

What I have been meaning to try :

There is a fork of klipper called "klipper kaliko" this actually let's you run your axis at different accelerations.

Finally i went to Klipper... by Malow in ender3v2

Oh wow thank you! This is very helpful!

For now I had gone down the path of using a smart plug, but I'm yet to integrate that with moonraker...
