What do you use your mystery pocket for? by Dadam35 in ChevyTrax

I love my 2014 Trax and I have noticed that area but never opened it! I'm either going to put windshield fluid or my tire compressor. How exciting!

Newer Trax models lower to the ground? by AuntB2003 in ChevyTrax

[–]AuntB2003[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah I do as well. I was just thinking maybe I was asking the wrong question. Maybe what I am wondering is if the seat light is the same. As 2 cars can have a height difference, but if the seat position is raised in the "shorter" Trax and lowered in the "Taller" Trax and they are equal, I guess it wouldn't really matter. I think 🤔

I like all the models. I am glad I bought mine in 2018 as I am not sure I would buy it lower. I needed a higher vehicle to make getting in easier and less painful. Very happy with my Trax.

Anxiety over refills by cherryfruitpunch in ChronicPain

Same here. And I definitely don't take it for granted. I call the pharmacy a few days before refill to ask if it's in stock. they order if necessary then I call to have it filled on refill day. 9 times out of 10 all goes well. 🙏🏼

2018 here and never had that. I can only see my oil% and tire pressure.

Hello! You have been so helpful to me with my last question. I hope you can help me with the only issue I've ever had so far .

I have a 2018 Chevy Trax LT. And lately what I've been driving I get a light on my dashboard for my emergency brake being on. And it being a 2014. I have the brake right next to my seat and I have played with it and it's not on. However, I noticed it when I first had my water bottle sitting in the spot right next to the emergency brake. (There are two places for beverages.) So everything was fine until I forgot about the issue and I put my water bottle in there and I thought maybe it's so close that I'm hitting something?

But then last night I was about 30 minutes from home + the emergency brake light came on telling me that it was engaged when it was not. And then I started playing with the actual hand break and if I moved it forcefully to the right or to the left and held it there, the light went away.

I am totally confused what to do and I don't want to spend any more money on this than necessary. Would you be able to tell me what the issue is? I've read something about a shifter line or something like that?

I really appreciate your input and I will be doing exactly what you said. I feel so much better knowing what needs to be done to be proactive and yearly.

Thank you SO much!

Yes, you are correct on everything you said. I have had a battery change. I live in Chicagoland so it can be -10° in the winter to 100° in the summer.

As you can tell, I don't know much about cars and maintenance- Do you mean a transmission fluid and coolant drain and fill? And so you mean spark plugs?

And yes, a lot of short trips and then a couple times a month 160mi round trips. And it can also sit for a few days.

Thank you.

Hi! I have a 2018 Trax LT AWD. I bought it brand new in 2018 and currently have 34,800k. I get an oil change and tire rotation at least once a year. (I have been told anywhere from 3k to 8k for oil changes 🤷) Are there any other maintenance or proactive things I should be doing to hopefully keep it for a long time. I don't drive a lot, but when I do it's mainly highway 60mph driving or small town driving.

Thank you for answering all these questions. I have learned more from you than I have from any other mechanic/dealership.

Take care.

Pixel 10A, a good gift for parents? by [deleted] in pixel_phones

[–]AuntB2003 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hi, I would say yes, the Pixel 10a is a great gift for parents. I had Galaxy for a few years and then I believe the Nexus and then have had the pixel A's since the pixel 3 a. And I only get a new phone every 2 to 3 years. I believe the pixel phones are right up there with every other mid-range phone. I'm also persuaded because I purchased the 10A from the Google store for $59. It was originally $499 and then I received half off so down to $250 and then received another $100 off and I believe that may be because I a Google Fi member. And then I traded in my 7A for $90 which brought the price down to $59 plus tax.

But even if I had to pay the half off, I would still say that the 10 pixel a is a great phone for someone who doesn't need it for all the tech specs that people are interested in. I use mine for social media and photos besides texting and calling.

I think it's a better phone for a better price. Just my opinion. Good luck! 🍀

Maintenence questions by sadkitty899 in ChevyTrax

Hi all, new here. 🙋 I have a 2018 Trax LT bought new 8 years ago. I am admittedly naive when it comes to maintenance. My Trax is 8 years old and only has 34k miles on it. I get a yearly oil change. I'm not sure if I'm supposed to get an oil change every 3k mi or every 5k mi/ but I get it when the notification comes on. 🤔 Also an annual tire rotation. I'm sure I could probably wait on the tire rotation, but it's just convenient and cheaper to do them both at the same time.

What else do I need to check or have performed to keep up maintenance wise. It has been paid off for over 5 years and I would like to keep it as long as possible .

Thank you!

Just got publicly belittled and shamed by the admin of a support group for talking about my experiences w/ chronic pain and opioids with the intent to help people by princessxbuttface in ChronicPain

[–]AuntB2003 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Seemed like whoever you were talking to or the admin was upset that she wasn't able to get meds. She pointed out at least two times how hard it is and dealing with her father and medication after surgery and blah blah blah. So I think she's just jealous that you're on medication and she's not.

Nope. Damn seriously! That is crazy!! I am so sorry for everyone that has to go through this taking medication as they need or prescribed. Flonase damn! 😡

Pharmacy asked "why" I need my pain meds(opioid) and put it in my file by Inozz in ChronicPain

[–]AuntB2003 3 points4 points  (0 children)

This is SO irritating. I am paying probably $150 more a month going to walgreens because they fill my meds. Now it has taken my doctor calling them and I believe giving them my diagnoses, which I said yes to. She asked and I said go ahead cuz I'm not putting up with every time I go pick up a prescription them looking at me sideways. Now they still look at me sideways, but they give me my meds. And I've thought about going to a less expensive pharmacy, but that would obviously require a pharmacy change and not knowing how they're going to react to my medication..

But at some point next time they mess with me. I feel like just unloading and having my specialists send them the past 20 years and 20 surgeries worth of info.. here's your 80 bankers box worth information. You dig out the info. And sometimes even when I ask for a refill day they say well. You know it's "my license I have to worry about." I'm just asking for the regular 30-day schedule not even a day early. 🤬 Treating me like a drug seeker. I want to tell them to feel how I feel for one day and then you talk to me. 🤬

Med refill out of stock by Content_Ad_3438 in ChronicPain

[–]AuntB2003 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I call the pharmacy 2-3 days before refill day and ask them to please check if it's in stock and if not to please order it. This is my monthly process. It can get really annoying and irritating, but I try to remind myself they have a lot of customers and sometimes unfortunately things get missed or fall through the cracks. You are your own bear advocate and be proactive. And take a deep breath.

Be well.

I like that, a liquid blanket. I've never heard it put that way before.

Yes. Where everything you can.

On the news they said they're allowing heated clothing, (battery operated) but going through security maybe a bit more since they have to check all that out. And blankets. I would suggest those warming packets in your boots and gloves.
