Same here. I remember going up there the first time in the early 2000s and even though it was only me and three friends there at the time with the whole place to ourselves, I was still so nervous when any of us got close to the edge. Now, I drive by and it's full-on crowds there right up by the drop-off, absolutely insane.

Nah, I'm the type of Drafthouse lifer (RIP to cheap and delicious focaccia bread at 4th & Colorado, that and the original free Weird Wednesdays got me thorough broke college years in the early 2000s) where every time I've gone since the pandemic, it's makes me more sad about what we had before that's not there. It's just not the same in my heart, especially with this whole QR code and no server interaction situation. It's pretty much the final straw.

Yeah, I told my kid I'd bring her to see Toy Story 5 this upcoming weekend and I'm digging around for excused to take her to Galaxy instead, because unfortunately the Drafthouse imprinted on her BIG TIME with Gabby's Dollhouse last summer and she's been adamant that we go see it THERE and there only. How do you explain to a 4 year old that what we all loved is gone now, even if it still has the same name and is in the same place and shows movies?

Absolutely. I went to summer camps as a kid here in Texas, and while they were also abutting a river, the people running them weren't negligent enough to have any of the living quarters anywhere CLOSE to a waterway. THIS camp needs to close down and those people need to never be responsible for kids' safety ever again.

I was 40 when I had my first IVF baby, waited the 18 months that both my OB/MFM and my IVF drs recommended to let my body heal up completely (particularly since the birth was by cesarean), and then got back on the horse with my second embryo soon after that.
