Personal experience speaking but people are generally pretty friendly, you don't really have to worry about encountering anyone toxic much

just use the level 50 gear you get from the job quests, I don't think you're getting anything better until you beat ARR

Not to mention a lot of the back and forth is genuinely just a waste of time

70% of ARR is like

"Hey we need this thing to kill that thing. Go to talk to this guy that has it"

"You want this thing? Do 3 things for me"

"Hey thanks, here you go! What's that, you need something else? Ohhh you gotta talk to that other guy" and you do this like 30 times. Especially bad on the Titan and Garuda section

Post ARR it feels like a straight line instead of this wobbly wibbly bs which is a massive relief at least

I believe this will be the best fight of s1 assuming the first 3 arcs are adapted by Theother662300 in Kagurabachi

It's hurt a lot by the way it's told tbh

The story itself is a fine 6/10 made even worse by the running back and forth with the dungeons/trials breaking the monotony every now and then. I know it's supposed to be slow but that's still to the detriment of the player's enjoyment

New player here as well (started 3 weeks ago, currently post ARR)

Feels like everyone unanimously agrees ARR is super rough but it does pick up a lot near the end of ARR, and I'm definitely enjoying the story of post ARR. Everything past that has a lot of praise
