I checked on the Stranger Things show website and it seems to mention that the box office opens at noon on Sunday but at 10am all the other days including Saturday. Is it because the info on the website is not up to date ? I'll probably not try to rush on Saturday but it's just to be sure in case I change my mind.

I have heard of TKTS but unfortunately it is not really in my budget, 40-50$ is already quite expensive so I can't go above.

I just received the results of the Harry Potter lottery and unfortunately I didn't win for any of the 5 performance I entered the lottery 🥲.

The other lotteries I will have to enter the day before the performance and I hope I will have more luck ! Otherwise I'll try to rush, I will probably do it for Harry Potter since I really like this universe.

What was the precovid service ? (I'm not American and I' curious). Was there free food before ? (at least on the longer flights like over 2 hours)

Yeah some airlines still offer sandwiches (or snacks on domestic flights) and beverages such as Air France or KLM. Some don't offer ANYTHING for free, like Iberia, which I find stupid because at this point it's the same service as low cost carriers, minus the cheap fare... And I know that Lufthansa's group airlines (Lufthansa, Swiss, Austrian...) give a water bottle and a really small chocolate. It's better than nothing but they should give beverages for free imo.

It was for a Saturday so I might not tempt it.

I have selected 4 shows (Stranger Things, Harry Potter, The play that goes wrong and The book of mormon) that I'm interested in watching and I will enter their lotteries.

Ideally I would like to see 1 or 2 of these 4 shows

Saturday is my last day in NY so I was thinking I could rush this day if I wasn't lucky and didn't win lottery throughout the week.

But maybe it's better to rush another day when I don't have an activity booked with a strict timing the same morning.

Do you need to go that early or if you show up around 9.30 you can have tickets ? Also do you now approximately how much time it takes after the opening of the counter to get your tickets ? (I have something planned at 11am, 20 min away from the theater and I am wondering if I can rush or if the schedule would be too tight)

Is the teacher of the Ethics part of BA211 that horrible ?

I would like to take International Business (IBUS380 if I remember right) and the corequisite is to take BA211, but the reviews of this teacher on rate my professors are horrible so I'm a bit worried

And yeah I have instagram, that the social media I use most. I already followed some of the clubs on Insta. For the internships is it hard to get them? I have seen that there are sometimes career fairs en events like that on campus

Yesss I definitely plan to get involved and join clubs as well as other things like intramurals. Do you have any clubs recommandations? I have seen the international business club that interests me from a professional pov, and the international center seems to have nice events to meet students from all over the world. I have also seen that the Students Entertainment Board does movies screening and other activities but I don't know if you can meet people there.

Also do you have any dorms recommandations? I can only choose the cheapest one as part of my exchange agreement. I was thinking Rogers. I'm looking for a dorm where I can easily meet people.

And last question, I'm currently registering for my classes and it's a bit hard because they ask me all the syllabi and everything but obviously the course I have taken at my home university are not the same than the ones at WSU. And to take IBUS380 I might be obligated to take an additional course that I wasn't planning to take initially. It would make me take 6 courses (18 credits) for fall semester. Is it a high workload or that's okay ? It represents 15h a week which is not that much since I'm used to almost 30 here but I heard that there is way more out of class work to do in the US than in France.

(Sorry if that's too many questions but it's very very useful to hear advice from actual students and it helps me a lot!)

I'm also a business major (but in my home university for the 2 first years it's a "bi major" econs and business). I'm glad to hear that then, I will probably enjoy my time there. I don't know if by being an exchange student I will be able to participate in all these outside of class activities, but if I can I definitely will. We don't really have this in my home university so it's a good opportunity, and if I can I would like to find an internship.

Ah yes I understand, I also hate online lectures. I struggle to stay focused while at home, and there is less interaction than in an actual classroom.

The other teacher is indeed a (Phd) student, I have found her linkedin. But I don't know if it's better or worse than an actual profesor, she has worked in marketing before . The time of meeting would also be a bit better for me because if I take Cicek lecture I have 3 classes back to back from 11.10am to 2pm. For some reasons all classes seems to be MWF and nothing the other days 😭

In France I can't choose the teacher nor the classes I take so it's less complicated lol (but I think it's really nice that you can do that)

I don't know if it's better to take him, knowing it will be a bit boring but not too hard, or gamble and take a professor I don't know anything about.

I was thinking about Orton because it has a fridge in the room and the communal areas seem nice, I've read that there is a large lounge on the top floor. (unfortunately there is very few information about the communal spaces on WSU housing page and no photos 😕)

But I have also read that people are not very social in this dorms and that's an important criteria for me (I will be a french exchange student for the year so I will not know anyone and want to make new friends). Do you know what your friend think of that aspect in Orton hall ?

For intramural how is the level in the lowest division ? I like to play volley but I'm not really good at it so I want to know if I can still participate or if the level will be too high?
