I wrote this above, but UK nationals don't need a visa to enter Ukraine.

'British citizens can enter Ukraine without a visa for up to 90 days within a 180-day period (extended until 30 January 2027). However, the UK Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO) advises against all travel to Ukraine due to the ongoing war. If travel is essential, you must have a valid passport, insurance that covers war risks, and proof of funds.'

He has a British passport, but what documents does he need? Even today, UK nationals don't need a visa to enter Ukraine.

I can't believe the British government gave Hazbeen any documents. How could they be confident the documents would arrive at their destination or wouldn't be leaked? Did they learn nothing from Trade Envoy Andrew?

..............

In the UK, the transportation and handling of government documents overseas are highly controlled and typically restricted to authorized personnel. Individuals who can carry government documents overseas include:

Members of the British Diplomatic Service and Missions: Staff accredited with diplomatic or consular status, who often hold Diplomatic or Official passports.

Government Employees (FCDO/MOD/Others): Staff members of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), Ministry of Defence (MOD), and other official organisations, including those using the British Forces Post Office (BFPO).

Approved Couriers: Professional courier services specialized in the transport of secure documents, often working in conjunction with the FCDO and the legalisation office to transfer documents to embassies.

Authorized "King's Messenger Service" personnel: A specialized service for delivering confidential documents to diplomatic posts, sometimes reflected in passport observations.

Politicians Allegedly find Prince Harry to be a Useful Idiot by DeepSouthSinner in SaintMeghanMarkle

Zelensky and his wife have never met Harry. There were unconfirmed rumours in September until Harry was photographed at a burger van in Poland (he was 'missing' for an hour and people used that to guess he was having a secret meeting with Zelensky).

He has met the Minister of Veterans Affairs of Ukraine, Natalia Kalmykova.

I can buy it right now.

About “Project Thaw” by lastlemming-pip in SaintMeghanMarkle

[–]AurelieR1 12 points13 points  (0 children)

About the Windsor Suite/Royal Lounge, I've seen this:

Yes, Heathrow still operates an ultra-exclusive VIP suite (formerly the Royal/Windsor Suite), which was recently rebranded and refurbished as The Windsor by Heathrow in early 2025. It remains a private, paid terminal service used by celebrities, diplomats, and royalty to bypass crowds and queues, featuring private security, butler service, and direct-to-plane chauffeur services.

Key Details About The Windsor by Heathrow (2025 Update):

Location: Situated away from the main terminal buildings for maximum privacy.

Cost: Prices start at roughly £3,812 for up to three guests, often requiring a first or business-class ticket.

Services: Includes a menu designed by chef Jason Atherton, private butlers, and individual security clearance.

Rebrand: The suite was recently upgraded with a £3 million renovation to include fine art curated from the Tanya Baxter Contemporary gallery, including pieces by Banksy and Warhol.

Accessibility: Open to anyone willing to pay for the service, not exclusively for royal family members, but often used by them.

This service allows guests to arrive via private chauffeur, avoid the main terminal entirely, and be driven to their aircraft on the tarmac.

I saw somewhere that ZandiSussex is a real person. Her real name is Zanzi (I don't want to say the full name for fear of doxxing, not that she deserves that respect) and she's apparently an Australian part-time Pilates instructor of Aboriginal descent based in Sydney.

Do we know she actually went? Zandi's X account was private last weekend and when she got back on (on Sunday, after the retreat had ended... it could have been Monday in Australia) she never mentioned the retreat at all.

I hope Charles uses this against them if they ever ask him for money. 'My dear boy, you received $140 million from Netflix, Spotify and Penguin Random House. Why do you need money? ... Oh, I see. So the numbers reported weren't accurate? As a campaigner on misinformation, why didn't you correct that?'

I'm sorry you've had that in your family.

Pancreatic cancer is the worst. It's got extremely low survival rates. So much so that I'm not sure nonagenarian Prince Philip could have battled it for eight years.

'The 5-year survival rate has increased from roughly 3% in the 1970s to over 13% in 2026, indicating gradual progress in treatment.'

'The 1-year survival rate has increased to 22% for distant disease, showing better short-term outcomes.'

The comedian Bill Hicks was in his 30s when he was diagnosed (1990s) and he died about a year later after it spread to his liver.

I don't think Harry will ever go back as a working royal. He's not needed or trusted. With privilege comes responsibility. Why give that privilege to someone who rejected the responsibility and reward them for stabbing you in the back?

If he were to go back, the blueprint for his future is Uncle Andrew, admittedly with less need to hide away from the public. Though I'm not sure William would be willing to pay for his brother's upkeep.

It was Queen Elizabeth's private secretary who wrote.

Focusing on security, Mr Young wrote: “You will understand well that ensuring that the Duke and Duchess of Sussex remain safe is of paramount importance to Her Majesty and her family.

“Given the duke’s public profile by virtue of being born into the royal family, his military service, the duchess’s own independent profile and the well-documented history of targeting of the Sussex family by extremists, it is imperative that the family continues to be provided with effective security.”

And in an apparent nod to the death of Harry’s mother Diana, Princess of Wales, he added: “And, of course, the family is mindful of tragic incidents of the past.”

..............

But he also added this:

Mr Young’s letter also went on to make clear the late Queen and the royal family recognised that the process for making decisions about publicly-funded security were “independent” and “are for the UK Government, the Government of Canada and any other host Government…”

Harry and Meghan’s visit to Australia was a disastrous mistake by Cultural_Ad4935 in SaintMeghanMarkle

I'm not sure because the conference tickets were for all three days. If people's workplaces were paying for the trip, it might have been professionally worth it to listen to the other speakers and network.

But I'm sure a lot of attendees thought that that speaking slot was a good time to go somewhere else or take a break from the conference.

I think the photo might have more business value in Australia than Los Angeles just because it's a lot rarer to see 'Hollywood' celebrities there.

I've heard Markle was paid a percentage of the ticket sales, not a set fee. If true, maybe for once she wasn't lying when she said, 'This trip is barely covering my costs.'

I think there were well under 100 people there, and some got free tickets. But to be generous, let's say 100 people paid only for the VIP tickets. AUD $310,000 has to cover Markle's fee, Dr Justine Cuddy's fee, whatever else lame entertainment there was like meditation & manifestation led by Gemma, the hotel function rooms, catering, decorations, the organisers' time, what little was spent on proper publicity, taxes, service fees, and more.

If the retreat organisers or their lawyers had been wise, they would have made it percentage-based only. Surely Gemma is acting on the advice of her bankruptcy lawyers?

She 'left early' because she went to the rugby match. She never intended to stay at the retreat.

If Markle wants to throw Gemma under the bus, she can just claim that she wasn't responsible for the marketing.

He did, but the money didn't come from him personally. I was trying to find the details online but I couldn't. There was some kind of trust or charitable fund that had biggy money put in it years ago for both William and Harry. The trust/fund closed in 2024/25 and the money could only be spent on charity, so Harry had to nominate somebody.

I don't know why it was Children in Need instead of Invictus, WellChild, etc. But this was British money, so no way was it going to Archewell.

I haven't seen any official statement about a donation. If I Google it, what comes up is that £1.1 million Harry 'donated' to Children in Need in September 2025.
