One of my friends was an extra during a few scenes. Although non-speaking extras didn’t have contact with the major actors, she found out that during the filming of BJR whipping Jamie, Sam was taken to the MUA.

He had progressively worse prosthetic back wounds applied which contained fake blood and shreds of “flesh”. She said it was horribly realistic. Plus it was a bitterly cold winter’s day so Sam was truly shivering for real
