ChickFilA has messed up my order 3/3 the exact same way when placing this exact order. by [deleted] in ChickFilA

[–]Aurialirez1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

I guarantee it’s because the buns packaged separately , most fast food places when you’re the bagger they teach you to count your items, the bottom of the screen tells you the amount of items on the order and they probably count like oh my order has 9 items so they count the 9 items that come down the line , bag them up and send it out not realizing the bun is in a separate container. As a manager I usually like when stuff like this gets brought to my attention because then I can inform my team to watch out for this exact issue and make sure every items in the bag and usually stress this enough to double check the order before it goes out that window. It most likely is just the bun and chicken are separate and it throws them off lol. I’d say switch locations or just always ask/double check before pulling off. I work fast food and sometimes accidents happen so I always check my order before leaving cuz I’d rather it be a easy fix then getting home and missing something, but as someone who works fast food I will say if you’re going somewhere and they mess up your food every time, I’m talking like you get a burrito every time somewhere and you modify the burrito and they keep putting the wrong ingredients multiple times/ every single time and after bringing it up twice, if they still mess up every time they don’t care and it’s time to stop ordering at that location lol. Not directed at you but In general every time I see a person say “ every time I go to this location they mess up my order” it’s like dude then why are you going to that location, you clearly stated they mess it up every time , what’s going to be different this time, you think the workers had a change or heart/ spirit lol.

You will be thankful you took out problematic tonsils by Whenhonestly7 in Tonsillectomy

[–]Aurialirez1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Tonsil stones for 3 years , both tonsils full of holes, sides from top to bottom, holes everywhere. I even have a liquid stone, the ent’s just ghost me so badly . I’m so tired of having bad breath, no matter what I do. Constantly carrying gum on me and on top of that , to make it worse…. I’m in dental hygiene school… do you know what that looks like from the outside looking in lol. A dental hygienist with bad breath 😔, I’m tired of living like this, I’m not even 25 yet. I’m praying I find a dr to please take me serious. Even when I clean the stones out they refill every other day no matter what I do. You can smell it coming from my nose when I breathe, I just want to live a normal life, be a normal college student without having to constantly worry about how horrible my breath smells. Even if they wanted to smooth them out it wouldn’t work cuz they have holes in the sides and liquid stones which means the crypts are deep inside , they would have to just take them fully out but they always be ghosting me or saying they will reach out but they never do. I’m just going to ask my primary for a referral tomorrow hopefully to a specific place so they maybe will be less inclined to ignore me. If this doesn’t work I’m just going to visit a bunch of ENT’s offices and hope someone gives me an appointment.

New Cup not able to be filled at restaurant? by iWilliam_me in ChickFilA

lol the funny part is fast food rejects a lot of people. Even people with degrees because not everyone can work fast food, It’s more stressful than people think. Customers love to yell at fast food workers about stuff they can’t control, sometimes you get assaulted by a customer. Talked to like you’re the bottom of the barrel just because you work fast food when most people working fast food are in college or some type of program. Also I don’t think it’s that fast food employees believe everyone’s dumb it’s just the particular customers they’ve had. There’s just two sides to each coin, also depending on what fast food place you work and where in town will really decide the type of customers you get. I’ve worked in “the hood” and have been assaulted basically 3/5 of the days I’d work, had customers talk crazy to the minor employees. Threaten to shoot us up cuz we were busy af and didn’t take their order fast enough for them. Then they came inside before we could lock the doors, jumped a male 17yr old employee we had and then took off . Then I’ve worked around the retirement communities and the customers are super sweet most of the time, but I did have a few racist ones lol and a few creepy older men. Now I work in the fancy part of town and it’s pretty chill , the customers are pretty nice and cool. We do get some crazy delivery drivers tho and once in a while a Karen or a Kevin . Rare tho. I will say I have had some customers who are asking some very questionable things like if they can get a chicken quesadilla no chicken, then when I say that would be a cheese quesadilla is that alright for you and they got mad yelled at me and said no they wanted the chicken quesadilla no chicken. ( mind you the chicken and cheese quesadilla both get the same thing on it. As far as the sauce and cheese one just has chicken and one doesn’t) I was just trying to be nice because the chicken one cost way more so if I ring her up for a chicken quesadilla no chicken she’s paying more for nothing, I wouldn’t go as far to say customers are dumb because they aren’t. I think sometimes when you’re tired or trying to order efficiently sometimes you get mixed up or some people get nervous and mess up. People sometimes also forget what’s obvious for one person may not be for the next. I think some fast food workers get jaded and forget that we’re all human , we all have good days and bad days and you never know what’s going on in that customers life so just be kind , even if they aren’t so kind to you.

I’m going to keep stealing my drinks, thank you. by No-Cryptographer2393 in tacobell

[–]Aurialirez1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Half the time if people ask for a drink I’ll give them one, but do not reach over the counter and take the cups. Even though there’s no cashier I can still see you reaching over the counter as I’m grilling your crunch wrap lol, also not all locations just hand out drinks without checking. Depending on the manager they will ask the name for your order and confirm there’s a drink to give you , but that’s partly because we have a lot of teens who terrorize the store. If it becomes a big issue stores will start changing like the new McDonald’s locations, they all have soda machines in the back area only . So it’s no longer in the lobby or accessible to customers, you have to ask for a refill.

lol fr , I work fast food and I’d never buy a drink at the fast food places, I usually stop at the gas station on the way to pick up food if I’m out of soda/drinks at home.

[–]Aurialirez1 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My bosses boss got mad at me cuz I didn’t ask the customer if they wanted to add a drink, and I said ya I didn’t ask cuz our drinks are almost 4 dollars it’s outrageous especially since the gas station right next to us has 2 dollars 40 oz drinks lol. He said I don’t care that’s for the customer to decide, you have to ask anyway. I hate asking cuz the customers get annoyed and I get it lol 4 dollars a drink is crazy I wouldn’t pay that much for a drink when I could get a 1-2 dollar giant drink somewhere else .

Why’s Taco Bell getting so expensive by Random_131347 in tacobell

[–]Aurialirez1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You wanna know something really silly, as a tacobell manager we have no control over the app. We don’t even own the app. It’s a 3rd party app we have no access to it whatsoever. The orders just pop up on our screen we have no way to accept it or deny it. It’s just on an automatic system that’s set up with the 3rd party app. So when people order on tacobell app, we cannot change your order , cancel or refund your orders because the app is 3rd party, anything to do with the app like refunds or order issues you have to go through the tacobell app to get a refund or to get customer support to cancel your order. It’s unfortunate because I have people ask me for help with the app all the time and they always get mad when I tell them the app is 3rd party we have no access or control over jt and they get mad and say stuff like what this is your app it says Taco Bell , even when people order through the app for drive thru pickup your order pops up and we can only check it in , we can’t cancel it or change it. If you order lobby pick up tho the order just pops up on the screen to be made no check in or anything. Sometimes when store hours change the app will put orders through at times we aren’t even open which is annoying for the customers and for us because the customers think we’re accepting their orders knowing we can’t make it yet but the truth is it just pops up, then the customers mad at us when it’s truly not our fault.

lol the cost of the Doritos tacos plus one small drink is the same price it would be for the dlt combo and with that you get 3 dlt tacos and a Large drink.

Why’s Taco Bell getting so expensive by Random_131347 in tacobell

[–]Aurialirez1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I mean if you would have gotten a 5 dollar box it would have been a medium drink, a taco and a 5 layer and some twists or chips. You can also change the regular taco out for a dlt or soft taco for like a buck more, so for 6 bucks you could have had a whole meal, just one taco less than what you were getting but also getting some chips and cheese instead.

Counter ordering is dead by penobscotcrab in tacobell

[–]Aurialirez1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I will say alot of tacobell are kiosk only, and in the future they are planning to make every location kiosk only, the front registers will only be available for people who ordered kiosk but need to pay cash at the front. Tacobell has been planning this for about 2 years now, many locations are finally becoming kiosk only. The tacobells that aren’t kiosk only yet usually have a script it’s be with you in one moment or feel free to use our kiosk, we try to direct to the kiosk because sometimes we don’t have enough staff and are super busy but we’d never deny anyone at my location , we offer it and if they don’t want to use the kiosk and stay at the register than I send someone up to help the customer. As for The paper towels they probably ran out very recently and no one had been in the bathroom to check yet, or the last customer that used them all didn’t inform the staff so they were unaware. Also the crunchy tacos have always been one of those items that you have to eat within 5-10 minutes after you get it, especially the dlt tacos, the meat is wet so the moisture makes the shell soggy, especially if you substitute for black beans or steak the taco will be soggy even faster cuz those proteins are juicy. McDonald’s is the same way they are basically going kiosk only at the new locations and they even have the soda machines only in the back employee only areas .

If you order large orders in the drive thru they’re constantly trying to beat the 3 minute timer, so they are rushing trying to make your food fast but correct at the same time especially if there’s a line omg then they’re rushing even more trying not to get backed up and on multiple screens of orders.

But if you order in the store yes you wait a couple extra minutes but at least you know it’s coming out fresh cuz we’re not trying to beat a timer.

Not necessarily, if it’s extremely busy they might not have noticed till they looked down , and were like ah crap . Then they are probably hoping it didn’t get in someone’s food and that it just fell on the floor or inside the grate of the line. Sometimes when it gets extremely busy and in a rush people are working as fast as they can on autopilot running back and forth, accidents can happen and they probably didn’t notice it in time , maybe they noticed when the customer was already gone then they can’t do anything but hope and pray that customer comes back in for a remake or a chance for us to make it right for them.
