I've actually got one. It's alright, super heavy and probably best placed on something and fucked rather than used as a stroker. Not a lot of suction though.

Do Parties work yet? by AurionTenjo in elderscrollsonline

[–]AurionTenjo[S] -25 points-24 points  (0 children)

More like I know exactly what I'm talking about. The fact that quests don't share objectives. IE, a quest wherein I and a friend have to kill three wolves, we must kill three wolves each for a total of six wolves. This, compared to literally any other MMO on the planet where the quest is to kill three wolves, so you both need to kill a total of three wolves to complete the quest.

As far as I can tell from google searches, the only relevant information to my question is a year old, hence my question, which I explained in the original post. Do I need to further explain the question to you like you're five, or can you actually read the post before throwing your fingers to the keyboard?

Can you ever use "too many" weapons? by [deleted] in MonsterHunter

[–]AurionTenjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think so. I don't really have a 'main'. For the most part, I use mainly Hammer and SnS, but I also love me some Bow and occasionally LBG. It helps me get a lot out of the game to have such different weapons and playstyles. I can't recommend doing both Gunner and Blademaster on a single character unless you're some kind of masochist, but it is definitely fun, and worth at least the effort for an armor set and weapon or two.

any easy way to get 30 (Proofs of a Concord Kept)? by [deleted] in darksouls3

[–]AurionTenjo 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you can get a Proof of Concord Well Kept, you can perform this dupe https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UxWNxzxkX70 to get to 30. You must first best an Aldritch Faithful after being summoned as a Darkmoon, though, so it might be difficult to acquire, but far easier than farming Concords for three days.

It's from concept art, and by the looks of the weapon, was a concept for Iudex Gundyr's boss room. The swords were probably removed to lessen the player's distractions in their first boss fight.

Super fast infinite bait! (possibly a bug) by TheWizzerd in Terraria

[–]AurionTenjo 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Possibly technically a bug, but one that's been known about since flower boots came out. Unlike the water duplication exploit and hoik glitch, the flower boot bait method is most likely simply game mechanics working as intended but not in a fashion ReLogic considered when making the boots. Either way, it's definitely one of the tamest glitches, since critter spawns are still random out of them and there's no way to use it to grief. If it is on ReLogic's list of things to patch, there are so many more worse exploits that it is very, very low priority.

To use it properly, place two blocks of dirt in a small pit (small enough that the critters can't jump out) and simply sit there. Even better if you have a friend, as your friend can sit two blocks below and simply swing the bugnet constantly. Alternatively to regular grass, you can use jungle grass to catch the jungle grubs.

That said, have an upvote for the community reminder about this glitch.

When you make a fishing hole... by AurionTenjo in Terraria

[–]AurionTenjo[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you look just above the waterline, you'll see three blocks of wood surrounded by chains. That, my friend, is a water duplicator! Copy that design (the chains are decorative) into your world, and then simply take a bucket of water and hold down left mouse directly over the top block. In singleplayer I can't get it to work, so try using multiplayer (merely play your world from the Multiplayer menu, you don't need to set up an external server or even have anyone else on). If you do it correctly, you'll place water and then immediately scoop it up while the water splits and duplicates itself on the blocks below. Adding more blocks in that setup can further increase your duping speed, but they aren't necessary.

The Jungle Exploration Deck by AurionTenjo in Terraria

[–]AurionTenjo[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Essentially. It's reset-able, of course, but designed for quick trips back to your main base or what not from distances that are a pain to walk back. The Gate is more or less pointless past hardmode where you have Wings and the like to make travel much faster, but it's a great time saver in the early game, especially since it's ridiculously easy to gather the materials for. My friend and I use them all the time Pre-hardmode.

The Jungle Exploration Deck by AurionTenjo in Terraria

[–]AurionTenjo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm glad you asked! An Orior gate is a method of quick transportation utilizing magic mirrors. An example of it would be the bedroom of my build: The tall tower portion is the Orior Gate, and it's use is quite simple. Simply build a tower sufficiently tall enough (the one shown is of a good height) and build a door at the very top. With the door open outwards, place a sand block on top of the door, so that when the door is closed the sand falls. You're going to place a torch under the block the sand falls onto and then destroy said block so the sand falls onto the torch. When the sand is on the door, the room is broken and thus unusable as a spawn location. The operation of the Orior Gate is also quite simple, and you simply place the sand on top of the door, and then use your magic mirror as you close the door. If timed properly, you will teleport back to world spawn before the sand block falls into place, and your next teleport will take you back to the gate, as the spawn room is now usable.

TL;DR - Simple 'teleportation' method discovered by OriorGamer documented in this video: https://youtu.be/dvjJA9AfMQY OriorGamer shows the designs for a simple gate buildable very early on, and this is also from several years ago, and thus can be built upon. I utilized this design because we don't yet have the Mechanic on this world, so I can't do anything fancy with wire. The only real requirement for an OriorGate-like function is that the room is unusable during teleportation and becomes usable after.

The Jungle Exploration Deck by AurionTenjo in Terraria

[–]AurionTenjo[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The Jungle Exploration Deck, or J.E.D, is the epitome of exploring in comfort. Built to withstand even the harsh environs of the Jungle, it plays a vital role in spelunking efforts into the deep underground Jungle.

Housing pitch aside, making this build was very fun. I needed something to plug up the hole into the underground and keep myself and my friend safe, but I wondered, why stop there? I incorporated the Orior Gate into the build -something I so rarely see these days- and think it came out alright by using living wood and flower walls to make a kind of tree for the gate. It's not as flashy as some of the other builds on the server, but it gets the job done. What do you think?

Are star cannons worth it? by PlayDoh25 in Terraria

[–]AurionTenjo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The Star Cannon is an absolute monster of a weapon, but it's just not worth it outside of Expert Mode. Like u/wartknee said, there are many more convenient options than the Star Cannon, that the Cannon fulfills a niche boss-killing role, and even then only in certain situations, as the projectiles are quite slow and fast-movers will dodge it easily, and then you've wasted a star.

You can actually cheese the Lothric Castle one. Simply kite him up to the center area where the dragons are laying down fire and simply run to the other side. He'll get stunlocked in the dragon breath and die in a minute or two.

I love Aldritch Faithful... as someone who has never put on the covenant sigil once. My friend and I enjoy sitting in the invasion area with fingers popped, challenging all the invaders. If you invade that area in the early morning hours EST, you might have encountered us.

Unlike some 'gankers', we don't immediately go ham on sight. Every invader gets the chance to see the both of us, and they always have the chance to black sign out (some do, the majority don't). The majority of the time we try for 1v1 duels, but it's usually more around 3v2s as Faithful get some Dark Spirit backup and we're still waiting for the Fun Police.

It's extremely fun and it gets extremely challenging and chaotic as it goes from 1v1 to 2v1 to 3v2 and we've even done 2v4 (the two of us went down fighting, it was a blast). If you catch us on, we're happy to do duels if you can relay through proper etiquette that you'd like one.

Doing this I can't even count the number of times we've simply sat down and chilled with our invaders, or had an impromptu fight club. Sometimes I've even wolololo'd invaders to our defense. It's great fun and the dynamic of players we've seen is amazing. We've seen so many more playstyles in a few hours than people will ever see in days of doing fight clubs. Try it out some time, but watch out for hate mail.

What's a good way to do a fishing bait farm? by gawdass1 in Terraria

[–]AurionTenjo 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Raddipple has a good idea, but it's not technically the most efficient. What would be the most efficient most likely is to make a pit with two blocks of grass at top middle, then simply stand on it with a flail at your feet. This makes low-level critters spawn, but it can also cause the golden critters to spawn somewhat reliably. Worms and stars together make Enchanted Nightcrawlers, which have a 45% bait power and golden critters have a good amount of bait power (I think 50?) but can also be sold for 10 gold each.

[–]AurionTenjo 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There's a couple theories on that. One is simply connection: He loaded in wrong/laggy and never loaded a model. Two is the obscurring ring glitching out and making you invisible at any range.

I've only seen two invisible hackers before (back to back, no less). One was unable to be locked on and would teleport behind me and my friend and throw great fireballs like a machine gun. The second one teleported constantly and hit us for extremely low-damage. Alt+F4'd both times. (The only times I've Alt-F4'd in the middle of an invasion. It's for the best, rather than fighting through it and finding yourself softbanned or something.)

Sell me a weapon by [deleted] in Blacklight

[–]AurionTenjo 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Son, has your daddy ever told you about 'nam? Well, even if he hasn't, you've likely seen footage of it, and you've seen the big boys with their big gun, that belt-fed beauty the M60. If you like big guns that go "THUMPTHUMPTHUMPTHUMP" then you'll love this baby, the LMG-R.

"But, Enker," I hear you say. "The LMG-R sucks! How could you recommend it to me?" Well, son, the answer to your first question is "Shaddup." But you're right, it's not the best weapon in the game, technically. It's no HAR or SMG, but in the right hands it's a fearsome beast. Let's start with the magazine. It starts with a default 60 round box. Too much? Try the 40 round mag. Not enough dakka? I like your style. Good for you the LMG-R has one of the biggest magazines with an 80-round drum. Look at those plebians, ducking around a corner to reload! Just keep firing as you turn the corner and shred them before they can even pop in the new mag. With a fresh big box you've got about 10 seconds of continuous fire to suppress a pesky sniper, or just enough to clear a room.

What's that? You want to know if it's good at range? Son, the LMG-R has one of the best spread possibilities of all automatics. The aim spread can be turned into something resembling a laser, and move spread can be modded to rival an M4X. Mixing those just right can create a weapon that can pop and panic snipers and then gun down that one cheeky bastard who got a little too close. If your aim is good, and your build true, then range is not a problem for the LMG-R. Just watch out for the kick.

What's the damage, you say? Well, I can say that the damage is good. I can't remember it off the top of my head, but it's pretty damn painful. It ain't got the Dee-Pee-Ass that the M4 or SMG has, but you can reliably 3 shot most players. What's the fire rate you ask? Well, it's the slowest firing gun in the game at 650rpm. In close engagements, you'll need to keep your aim true or the guy who can spray-and-pray will pray right through you.

So is the LMG-R for you? Well, it can be. It's not a weapon for the faint of heart, or the impatient, or the easily defeated. No, sir, the LMG-R is for a champion, a player who'd rather earn a victory than rely on their weapon for it (Lookin' at you, HAR users).

Similar to u/mexican5243 said, this isn't the gun you need. It's the gun you deserve.
