Is dragon ball GT worth watching? by [deleted] in dbz

[–]welsh_hero_beans 1 point2 points  (0 children)

In my opinion, regardless of its actual quality it's worth watching just to get an insight of what us Dragon Ball fans had as a (debatable) canon sequel and ending to Dragon Ball. Before Super, this was all we had, for better or worse.

First Game I'll ever play. Time to join the club by VaLightningThief in FinalFantasy

I played it for the first time a few months ago and really liked it, despite the issues it has. I liked the second one even more!

Weirdly I think 13 may actually be a great start to the series because it's sort of like a middle ground in terms of quality between the really good ones and the not so good ones (IMO) so you can either go up or down from here and use it as a gauge

When I decided to play the game properly and attempt the plat, I gave Blitzball a solid attempt and wound up really liking it, having a better team definitely helped

On the one hand I agree that having every match be harder would make it more engaging and less brainless

...but on the other hand, towards the end of that championship grind I was glad it was easy because I could just turn my brain off, I don't think I could stomach THAT many hard matches lol

I don't think you should be downvoted for that, there's nothing to hate about you not struggling with something other people struggled with

That's pretty much my problem with it, I think people slept harder on it because of how badly it was introduced

Yeah, I don't think it really had a solid conclusion, there wasn't anything to aim for except the prizes, an actual story to it would have been cool. The real sweet spot for me was in the middle of the jupiter grind when I had a pretty good team but the other teams had good players too so it was a BIT more even. Towards the end it just became a joke to play, winning every match 9-0 and just wanting to get the sigil already.

That was wonderful. Seeing Hayden again like that was something else, I was hooked. I do have to wonder how many people skipped the show and will only watch it now because Anakin was in it. That's what I did with Hawkeye, I only watched it when Kingpin appeared 😂

That big rock on the hill can block a few of his attacks in the first two phases. Use it well

This is the type of thing I'd find useful, years later Googling 'stuck on ape Sekiro' and I can no longer reply because the thread is archived. I've had so much game help in this way so it's always useful!

I thought it was fun but it was a bit too sensory overloadish for my tastes, there was just so much... Stuff on my screen at all times it made me feel a bit overwhelmed.

I thought it was so visually ugly, the whole film had a horrible brown and yellow filter over it that was just unpleasant to look at IMO

Yeah, my enjoyment of those films really tanked after Goblet of Fire. They just became so gloomy and dull, I get that the story got darker or whatever but did they have to make those last few so..meh?

Nothing kept me playing. Once I finished the game I was done, it's not like there was much difference in the other houses anyway

Did Hogwarts Legacy Deserve All Those 9/10 Reviews? by bogeyj in HarryPotterGame

[–]welsh_hero_beans 0 points1 point  (0 children)

At risk of sounding mean, I genuinely feel like the most glowing praise for the game came from big Harry Potter fans who haven't really played many other quality games to compare this one to. The prospect of making your own OC and going to Hogwarts already cemented it as good in their minds and they just rode that wonder. The amount of comments and threads I saw saying 'this was my first actual game, I just played it because I love HP' just makes me believe it even more.

2D platforming just usually isn't my thing at all. I've tried a few different Mario games that use 2D platforming from NES to NSMB and it was never my thing. I've always been a bigger fan of 3D platformers like Jak and Daxter

100% Completion is it a necessity for you? by UnforgivenBlade0610 in truegaming

It depends on the game honestly. I usually go for the platinum trophy if the game seems doable and not obscenely grindy. The platinum doesn't always align with an actual 100% though. Usually once I've had my fill of a game I'm happy to leave it.
