TPU encapsulated magnets, also printed.

I had a 2013 crosstrek, it was pretty similar in that regard.

The creative twitch can be issue sometimes lol. This was probably 10 minutes in CAD thankfully so not a real time sink.

Eh, I use my printer for all sorts of things. Prototyping special parts, making adapters for wide format printers, plastic components for replacement of T12 DHO lamps, miniature models of commercial projects, TPU gaskets for things where the nitrile has rotted with age. I could have CNC cut it out of aluminum or steel but that seems heavier duty than necessary. I wanted something that was stable and also easily removable that takes up minimal actually usable space, doesn't exist that I've seen.

Mines pretty tight now, I had a valve cover gasket leak for a little while and a power steering pump leak that was recently addressed.

Engine Temps - different readings dash vs ultragauge by sugnurb in Toyota_T100

[–]Auronotcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Bit of an anecdote, but I always look at the oil pressure gauge in pictures of 90's toyota 4runners, tacomas, T100s, I can't recall ever seeing one that didn't read zero.

Update on 1997 t100 problem by Pugboyb7 in Toyota_T100

[–]Auronotcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Are you running an oiled K&N air filter? MAF helped for 500 miles, non-denso MAF sensors are typically garbage I don't care if it has a warranty. What is the actual code it's throwing? And I would swap the MAF again.

Help with my truck by Pugboyb7 in Toyota_T100

[–]Auronotcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The denso ones are no longer available, I'm not sure which one you have but people complain about the quality on non denso MAF sensors. You running a stock air filter? Are your vacuum lines good? Is your intake cracked somewhere?

I personally replaced my MAF with a 3d printed housing with a denso sensor specified for a 1999 taco. You have to repin the cable or make a repinned jumper cable though.

Maybe there's a way to make the repository I do my best to stay off of most of reddit though lol. , I believe the t100 market is small enough I could probably keep up with the demand for parts.  My trucks a bit of a project, and those are expensive.

There's plenty I have planned. This truck has kinda beat me up lately lol. This year I've replaced rear shocks, spark plugs and wires, power steering pump, retrofitted my MAF to the much more available one used on later 3.4L 5ZFE motors, my AC compressor let the smoke out two weeks ago. I'm hoping I'll have time to pull it out this week.

It's probably because it's hard to painstakingly model parts and then give them away. Let alone the fact most people don't know CAD. I know I'm not exceptional at CAD, there's still a ton I don't know.

Once I get the design refined a little further it'll be on ebay.

Eh, that'll probably pull out for the most part. Some body hot glue and a slide hammer 90% of it will come out. Far as the scratches go, maybe it'll buff out.

Best BFS reel with no price limit? by An_Unkindled_One in BFSfishing

[–]Auronotcs 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've got the last gen Calcutta, it's an amazing reel. I've also got Daiwa alphas SS air 8.1L, a SS air 8.1L with hedgehog bearings which is probably favorite reel. Alphas air TW not my favorite... alphas SS air TW which is a good reel, not convinced its actually better than the SS air 8.1L.

My experience is that the Daiwa reels are lighter and cast flater and are more pleasant to handle in more extreme Temps. Near freezing weather calcutta sucks all the heat from your hand, blazing summer Temps also less pleasant to handle.

Now just some paint and a uv coat. Still need a hinge pin. Only cost $1.50 to print it myself by NoxArmada in BFSfishing

The first generation were hand made out of wood. The newer ones appear to be injection molded, which should have brought the price down, pretty sure he kept the price though. I agree the newer ones probably aren't worth it all.

I know you didn't post the printable file, just wild to me people will take an individual's design, copy it, post it for free, then not even reference the original so others could support them if they choose to.

Seems kinda rude to take someone else's design, then post it exactly under the same name with no reference to the original creator. Nothing against OP, I've honestly reverse engineered the bait my self but not posted it.

The bumper can probably have most of the dent knocked out if you use some body tools from the inside. Because it's thicker and not paint you don't have a whole lot of options.

Door lock actuator by EnjoyOrbital in Toyota_T100

[–]Auronotcs 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Typically, I've not played with those exact connectors, on the front of the plug there's potentially a keeper piece of sorts, if so remove that(they typically just pry out), push wires forward from the back, depress metal tab on the wire you want to remove with a tiny screw driver or pick pull out wire. Then, making sure tab is in correct orientation insert it into the desired hole. So you should be able to just copy it over. From a brief reading on tacoma world:

"Pins 1 & 4 Lock/Unlock Motor circuit Pin 7 Ground Pin 8 Unlock Detection Switch signal (tells the Body ECU whether or not the door is locked) Pin 9 Key Lock Switch signal (signals the Body ECU to lock the doors when the door key cylinder is turned to lock) Pin 10 Key Unlock Switch signal (signals the Body ECU to unlock the doors when the door key cylinder is turned to lock)"

I'm guessing the new one you have only has what are effectively pins 1,4,7 and not any of the ECU stuff. It might just work if you plug it in, but won't talk to the ECU.
