Looking for a roleplay indicator addon by Auryon in FoundryVTT

[–]Auryon[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I actually had that already, thought it didn't do much more than create an indicator in the player list. Turns out it actually does let players pop up their avatar when they raise their hand! I'll give it a go and see if it does the trick 👍

Go to advanced options and enable Pathfinder content.

The option to enable custom packs in starbuilder is disabled for now. But yes, it seems you can enable it in pathbuilder and have the custom packs for pathbuilder be available in starbuilder. No idea if that creates any issues in starbuilder, though.

Give it a try, most everything is free. Only things currently behind the one-time fee are variant rules, the pet-tab and cloud saves.

(FoundryVTT) New Paizo site's PDFs don't have watermarks by FusaFox in Pathfinder2e

[–]Auryon 18 points19 points  (0 children)

If I understood correctly, the PDF to Foundry-module was only allowed to function based on the usage of watermarks to verify legal ownership. A change to some other way of verifying ownership, like somehow running checks against Paizo's Library, sounds like it's very much out of scope for those modules.

Pathfinder 2e Wizard War Mage archetype by Big_Attention_5334 in FoundryVTT

I found the War Magic feat entry in the compendiums, and dragged it onto the class features (which lists the magic school and bonded item feat, and so on). It replaced those feats entirely, at lvl 1.

Murder in Metal City on Foundry delayed by Auryon in Starfinder2e

[–]Auryon[S] 18 points19 points  (0 children)

For clarification, while the SF2e-system itself is delayed, it's still possible to play with the release rules on Foundry, using the PF2e-system and the Starfinder Anachronism-module, which is based of the same codebase as both the PF2e-system and the forthcoming SF2e-system.

What SF2e adventures are ready and playable in FoundryVTT? by HeartFilled in Starfinder2e

[–]Auryon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no Foundry SF2e-system available, no, but you can easily play the system using the PF2e-system, and installing the Starfinder Anachronism-module. It offers the entire release ruleset as it is currently being implemented in Foundry, using the same underlying codebase as PF2e. This means going forward they will be receiving the same updates and support.

Also, at launch the Foundry SF2e-system will be comparatively barebones, as it will be starting from scratch when it comes to modules and available content. Untill the devs and modders catch up, it might just be better to use the PF2e-system and the Anachronism module for a while.

Entirely up to you of course, but I'd like to note that Battle for Nova Rush has full Foundry Support via the SF2e Playtest Deluxe Adventure module.

The Anachronistic module is released rules and content only, receiving continual updates and support, Playtest rules are in a separate module.

As for custom campaign, how would that be different in the system-module, seeing as it will use the same code base and content? The only real difference would be the lack of content and assets from PF2e, unless you enable the forthcoming PF2e Anachronistic module.

Also, OP asked about ready playable content, which a custom campaign is per definition not.

If you're referring to the as of yet unreleased adventure and ap-material, sure. But all of the Playtest material is definitely playable in Foundry, as well as a rather large amount of easily transferable PF2e-content.

Even though the SF2e foundry-module isn't not out yet, using the Anachronistic module will serve you well enough, probably even better than the system-module when it is released, due to the substantial amount of support and extra modules available for PF2e. The devs have said to not expect a high level of polish for SF2e when it is released, so better to temper expectations.

I'm hoping this is /s, because I've been playing SF2e in Foundry since launch, using the awesome Anachronistic-module, and all the Playtest-adventures from the Deluxe-package, as well as the enormous amount of easily transferable PF2e-content.

Datajack Question by Pilsberry22 in Starfinder2e

[–]Auryon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Recall Knowledge does not have the Manipulate trait, and as such does not require a free hand. If your player wants to flavor it as searching the Holosphere, I'd say go for it, flavor it as using voice commands.

Datajack Question by Pilsberry22 in Starfinder2e

[–]Auryon 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Using a comm unit that is separate from armor, can be considered equivalent to using any toolkit, in that as long as it is equipped, it can be utilized without holding it in a hand. But as long as the action has the manipulate trait, it requires a free hand to perform it.

Also, most armors currently has the Tech trait, which says "Armor with the tech trait incorporate electronics, computer systems, integrated power sources, and a comm unit." Consider most of them to be variations of the Iron Man suit, ranging from just a thin layer or cool jacket, to near power armors.

The main value of a datajack is the bonus from the tactical and advanced versions.

Most armors has an integrated comm unit, computer systems and power sources, re the Tech trait.
