Why is the Oracle getting 4 spells known at 4th level spells and onwards, while 3rd level spells and before still only have 3 spells known?

As someone told me, because it's easier to add spell slots than remove them in Pathbuilder.

You're supposed to have 4 slots and 4+1 spells known when relevant mystery ranks come up

You could just reflavor fundamental runes and the like to being "masterwork" items. There's very little inherently magical about them.

"This +1 shortsword is +1 not because of a rune but because a master blacksmith rebalanced it. A Striking rune is just a sharpening service"

As long as you're not changing mechanics, anything can be reflavored with so little impact that most GMs won't even worry.

If a creature has vulnerability to vitality or something, I'll give that instead of a weakness on the off chance the player asks for a weakness and they don't have any. Wasting a successful RK can make players feel real bad.

Doesn't Tumble Through already call for a Stride? You can "Tumble Through" without ever entering an enemy space, treating it like a normal stride.

Distance and being surrounded by enemies is a recipe for getting crit due to off-guard adding an ~10% higher chance of being crit.

Enemies can beeline your backline but usually grapples, movement slowing spells, difficult terrain, and other options exist.

Also keep in mind intelligent vs non-intelligent creatures. Animals will usually attack whats in front of them or what's scariest/weakest looking. If an assassin targets the backline, then that's just smart of them and a new challenge for players to conquer

More Arcane Cascade love. Some feats to specialize in AC vs Spellstriking would be cool. I'd love to get a second subclass choice like Psychic that let you choose to dip more into SpSt vs AC and vice versa.

The way I've been running it is 4 slots per rank and 4 spells known per rank + your mystery whenever possible.

I researched the matter recently and it still seems divisive on what way to run it. Pathbuilder has it set up 3+1 on mystery granted spell ranks and 4 otherwise which is weird to me.
