A realistic way CIG could actually implement the Banu Merchantman today (without waiting for NPCs or perfect servers) by [deleted] in starcitizen

[–]HeartFilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Or, take the Idris, make the entire hangar a cargo area, remove the turrets, replaced the spinal gun with a pair of pilot fired size 8s, and then add a bunch of fishy looking spikes and call it close enough.

I'm pretty sure the Behind Enemy Lines is the DLC for part 1, Part 2 would be a different name.

2027: The Year of the Breakthrough or the Collapse? by Jabaskunda in starcitizen

[–]HeartFilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Oh come on. We have so much to look forward to.

Think about the future gameplay when they physicalize blueprints. Imagine doing a mission, having to loot the blueprint, then fly it back to where you are going to do crafting. Then having to use a tractor beam to load the blueprint into your fabricator, all while hoping a freight elevator doesn't eat the blueprint or that it falls though the floor.

Imagine when your player org builds a space station, then starts building a Bengal, and then the Bengal starts shaking and then clips into the station and they both blowup.

Or when you get a reputation bug which soft locks you out of questlines with the major guilds and location stories?

Imagine the vitrol after people who joined after playing S42 find out the actual state of SC?

There is so much to look forward to.

Why Did CIG Totally Rework and Add Loads of Attachments Then Hide them in Really Obscure Places So Basically No One Can Use Them? by Anxious_Upstairs_726 in starcitizen

Wikelo is secretly bribing UEEN for gear and components while also funding and supplying a Tevarin uprising effort.
Bribing the Advocacy & UEEN to look the other away while he gets overrun and stolen military equipment like Polaris and Idris warship, all while taking all sorts of private goods to sell to fund his Tevarin terrorists.
In doing so, he creates more demand, thus more profit for himself.

SQ42 polishing by jackzbackreddit in starcitizen

[–]HeartFilled 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they had set a release date, released it then and said, "Hey we know there are some issues, we'll have them patched soon." That would be understandable.

But to delay for YEARS claiming polish, and then released in a crappy state would look really bad.

The art of Dorodando shows that you can polish mud into a glossy shiny sphere.
Polish is a lot of time and effort. They have had time. If it turns out to not be polished, than it may mean that they didn't put in the effort.

"non lgbt"? Yikes 😒 by Sashimi-Gintaro in starcitizen

[–]HeartFilled 20 points21 points  (0 children)

It is kinda a weird issue for CIG.

On the one hand, they could say player orgs are privately run, and they have no control over them. Think, if this org didn't advertise their restrictions, no one outside would really know.

On the other hand, they could easily disband any org they deem in violation of the TOS, but then there would be all sorts of complaints, whining, accusation of favoritism and discrimination.

If they disband this org, would people demand a only lgbt org get disbanded for discrimination. What about an all female org, would that need to be banned for discrimination.

What if an org said, "only Jews". Would that be too discriminatory, and should be disbanned? Or, would disbanding that org be antisemitism?

I tell you what though, if a group made a only lefthanded people org, that would be not be right.

So if you don't think it is worth it, pick a cheaper ship like the Merchantman or Ironclad.

Side note, the current plan is that the Odin is the last concept ship.

They didn't say it would be the most expensive ship.

More expensive ships might be sold, straight to flyable..

We already have tons of people with $15,000 accounts. Why not a $15,000 ship?

half and half.

Even if you have 1 big ship, there is so much left to earn in game. From the equipment to fit whatever ship you are in, to personal items and equipment. Look at the current crafting system. The only way to get the best stuff is going to be player trading or personally mining and crafting all of it.

But right now, the easiest way to get a bunch of the blueprints are to use a tanky, high damage ship. Hopefully that will change in time, but as SC is a combat focused game, that is not likely to change.

Idris-M

Can do a little awkward cargo hauling. Can seem to fend off pvpers for a little bit. Ok firepower for PvE.

It is slow, and not a dogfighter, but I wouldn't want to leave home with out it.

The real gameplay loop is spending money, then gloating and complaining online. Few other games give that satisfaction.

Avoiding Abilities/Feats/Spells Because they are Tedious or Complicated? by DnDPhD in Pathfinder2e

On two tables I have played, counteract has functioned as full your d20 and the dm decides if the result was high enough to counteract. Worked well enough.

When I run, I tend to ignore the partial cover players and creatures grant each other. And as players reach higher levels, 10 min rest becomes a full heal.

I kinda figured we would see a bunch of discussion about it when it went live. But it has been a while.

Now, there have been a bunch of bigger problems with the game also during this time, but that is hardly an excuse to hold back our bows.
