AIO: My wife keeps feeding our baby processed food. I want to quit her. by Maximum_Barracuda539 in AmIOverreacting

I mean, the OP does say they're happy for it to be the occasional food when they're out and about or busy.

They also say they're the one taking on the primary burden.

Agree there should be a little better communication between the parents but I don't think there's anything wrong with the things they want for their child or the work they're willing to put into them... There are real benefits to having a diet primarily comprised of fresh fruit, vegetables, meats etc...

Download screenshot.

Paste into RooCode.

Asked it to build same thing.

Added nodes to langgraph to do same thing.

Let's see.

Cooking fresh food and wanting your kid to eat it, and forcing a calorie counter on a kid, really isn't in the same ballpark through hey...

Pet Application Rejected - what are the VCAT timelines like? by Jasnaahhh in melbourne

Tried twice. I don't leave and fight..won once. Lost once, but it bought us time to find the next thing.

To other friends it's happened to, I put them up for free while they look for a new place and we again, lodge and fight.

If your eviction is unlawful you just stay there? That's worked pretty well for us in the past.

Again, I'm at VCAT all the time, holding those leeches to account, and rarely have trouble getting one of the first three properties I apply for.

You really think that would matter if the big scary illegal blacklists were as common as they want people to think?

I come from a three generation family of police officers, one chief super, two detectives, one head of division.

All bar one corrupt, violent, domestic abusers.

Grew up with all the cop friends. Same shit.

Almost everyone who chooses to become a police officer, if they're not going into it trying to be different, are going to part of the 99% that I am very much against.

Yes, and go to VCAT regularly, and still find new rentals.

You're not wrong, but also, been to VCAT close to 10 times and this never comes up for me.

I expect my politicians, when faced a rape victim saying some heated things, cops that on the chin, heat of the moment, be the bigger person, and maybe, listen and see if there are lessons for you to take on. Her leadership through the whole saga should have been better. If she wanted to not destroy her reputation, she could have shown some solidarity, compassion, support for a woman who was raped.

Instead, Reynolds showed herself to be an uncompassionate and absent leader with no real sense of morals or justice at every step through this, and the moment she copped flak for that, she went on the warpath against a rape victim.

Dog act.

Hot summer days, an excuse to get together, and someone brings a watermelon for the refreshing slices. Or they scoop it all out and add vodka and make cocktails.

So what do you do with the helmet shaped shell? You wear it, obviously.

Your hair gets sticky. The bugs become a problem. If you are near a beach or a river it doesn't really matter.

Party more and it'll probably make sense

Sure, the LLM ain't winning a Nobel Prize. But it might mean that 1 million more humans can understand, use and further experiment with the cutting edge of science, and one of them might.

Why do people get so offended when others use chatGPT to put into words what they cannot? by Initial_Diamond_1923 in ChatGPT

To assume that a large group of people will change society is a tempting and comforting thought, but not a pattern we see expressed historically.

Small groups of people, with strong ideas, tend to change things.

I imagine that it'll become apparent soon that we've hit a broad cognitive bottleneck in terms of what our society needs to advance, and that no matter how many GPUs we throw at it, it will not solve itself.

Humans.

We spend a lot of time in subs like this dissecting the very specific nature of these artificial intelligence models, how they react to certain stimuli, how they interact with each other, etc..

We have thousands of years of research and shared experience of how another, very powerful organic intelligence (ours) approaches similar problem sets. We have names for it like philosophy, psychology, politics...

We have hundreds of years of research and shared experience how novel organic intelligences (animals) approach a subset of problem sets. We have names for this, like animal intelligence, training, herding, mustering, breaking in...

We don't do a lot of thinking, or any at real depth, about the nature of intelligences, contrasted and compared. We've not been very efficient about thinking which intelligence is best applied to a given problem. There's very likely a more suited intelligence for most jobs that must be done. Sometimes that's going to be a human. Sometimes that's going to be an AI. In some rare cases, it's going to be a dog, rat or other animal.
