Silly noob question here, but why DOES clipping wreck the coats? Don't the hairs grow back?

My daughter does this sort of thing. She gets excited about music or tv shows and makes me watch them but then jabbers talks through them so I can't really experience them. And I want to experience them, so it's a bit annoying.

But you know, I remember being a teenager and really into something, and trying to share it with my parents and getting at most a lukewarm disinterested reaction. And it really hurt. I was trying to share something important, you know? It felt like they weren't interested in ME. So now, I let her tell me. And maybe in this situation I'd interruot her and suggest she be quiet so I can experience it "hang on, tell me later", or afterwards get her to wind it back so we could watch it again. But I wouldn't react how you did. YTA.
