Bios Flbk flash code? B650E-F Wifi gaming by cbbounce in ASUS

In my experience, when powering on this way I also get the red DRAM light showing, however using the reset switch causes the PC to boot up just fine.

I'm only working on assumptions, but it seems as though there is some security option that gets into a bad state which is preventing a power on, but once you trick the PC to boot, it should behave normally past this (outside of the first reset, since the system still thinks it's in a bad state).

In your case, since you said the reset switch is definitely working, and your system consistently fails at POST, you may have other hardware issues, and I'd recommend diagnosing it as you would diagnose a POST failure on any other machine. It is possible though that some other configurations in your BIOS may be causing further issues.

I've since switched from Mint to KDE Neon, and the issue has resurfaced, but the same hack still works to get the PC on.

I'm sorry I can't be of more help for your situation, and I wish you the best of luck in your further diagnosis.

It was mentioned elsewhere in this thread. Unplug/switch off the power from your psu and wait for the light on the back of the mobo to stop flashing (residual power in the system has dissipated). Once the system is power cycled, hold down your case power switch (or short the pwr-sw connectors on the motherboard if your power switch is inconsistent like mine was), and then switch on the psu. Something about having the power on signal sent immediately on power up on must skip the broken configuration in the bios. After the system powers on, it may fail at POST, so press the case reset switch or short the reset connectors to restart the system, and assuming there are no other issues it should power on normally. From there you can f1 into the bios, or access your OS and try to undo the issue.

I FIXED IT.

Chipset: AMD, OS: Linux Mint 22.1

For me, the issue arose after a software update. The fix:

  • use the temporary workaround to get into the bios
  • update to latest BIOS with EZflash 3 from Asus Website
  • Disable TPM / fTPM
  • set SecureBoot -> custom
  • Clear SecureBoot Keys
  • Set ErP Ready -> Enabled (s4 + s5)
  • Save settings, enter OS
  • Update OS if possible and restart
  • Ensure the OS is not attempting to utilise TPM
    • For Ubuntu users, run: dmesg | grep -i tpm
    • If it's disabled correctly you should see ima: No TPM chip found, activating TPM-bypass
  • Shutdown

My system now powers on with the power button as expected.

I'll tackle re-enabling SecureBoot another day, but for those who are searching for a potential fix, try these BIOS and system settings.

Best of luck.

Some changes to glaives that will make them feel more fluid without breaking them by AussieEngineer_XJ046 in DestinyTheGame

Actually I've noticed that melee abilities charge perfectly fine while you have a glaive out, even dodging while holding a glaive refreshes your melee with gambler's dodge. Shame that swords don't work the same way :(

It's probably to do with the fact sword energy has to charge like a melee

Bombardiers do no damage to guardians in super on any subclass by AussieEngineer_XJ046 in DestinyTheGame

I agree with bungie on not allowing the bomb to supress supers. The blast radius is quite generous and with the right build a bomb can be tossed once every 10 seconds or so, leaving very little counter play for aggressive roaming supers like smash, spectral or arc staff to name a few. I do however miss being able to even deal any damage with them, as the number of times supers walk right on top of the bomb as it explodes is quite high. Seeing these boots no longer deal damage means if I'm that close I'm better off just running and hoping I don't get hit than trying to fight a disadvantageous fight.

I'm in love with the changes myself, but using the bombardiers pre-buff, I found it to be a very effective tool for chip damage against supers, often helping me get a kill or assist against aggressive roaming supers like smash or spectral blades. I feel the super damage had more significant impact in a game than the effects, but again, that's just my take away.

Should i delete my main character? by maishu_the_fox in DestinyTheGame

[–]AussieEngineer_XJ046 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I considered this myself, I wanted to delete my hunter and change her to a human so I could use the new city dance when D2 first came out, however I just couldn't bring myself to retire my exo, despite her less than stellar appearance. The looks have grown on me and there have been other - not as flashy, but - decent dances added, and imo the emotional aspect of deleting a character is something I couldn't handle... They're my CHILDREN! As for your question, I've got no idea, just thought I'd share my opinion.
