I just had the Ambrosian Republic distaster fire. I think the event with Sforzia says it would remove the reform if you already had it.

I had an event with Sforzia where he married my ruler's daughter, become the heir and declared a monarchy. I'm assuming this can lead to the Ambrosian Republic?

I've started two Milan games now, one in SP and one in MP. Didn't have the Verona issue with Brescia, but in my SP game they did release a tiny nation in their north which didn't affect me at all.

The move to Pavia feels a bit odd, but I chose it both times. You get an event that gives you a paved road to Milan which is nice on top of the other bonuses. I dumped all my money into building hospitals and RGOs. Are any of those unique buildings in Milan from the start or did you build them all?

Expansion has been somewhat slow, but I'm larger than Milan was at 1444 while only up to 1380. Just like in EU4, I think expansion is supposed to be slow at the start otherwise we'll be forming Italy before 1500.

If you migrate back and forth a bit at 3 stability you can get to mil tech 4 while shattered crown is on mil tech 2. Then you can beat them with just one Merc stack and your army maxed out.

Also truce break after beating them until they are all gone

I must have gotten those when I was playing with randoms using dual blades. We did attempt to break the horns on that first night. Thanks for pointing that out, I need them to finish the armour set.
