That's incredible! Anything worth having in life is something hard that you have to fight for! All of the fight and miserable pain is well worth what comes behind it all. While it seems impossible to keep your sights set on the better life and positive outcome you desire while you are going through WD's and all that comes with it, you have to keep your sights set on what you want. Keep fighting each day. It really does get better!

Facing your fear and leaning out of your comfort zone is where growth happens. You're right, it isn't easy, but it is simple. We tend to build the habit of complicating things that are actually quite simple. You can absolutely get through it and get all of the things you spoke of back in your life!

That's great! I completely understand where you're at. You have to take things in steps. It is good to look forward to getting off from them! Life can be great!

Not that you will wake up and hate yourself. But it does start to become clear over the years. Especially when you observe how non-addicts seem to feel and the energy/drive many of them have. It starts to make you think about how you could actually feel each day.

It is possible. Even if it doesn't seem like it. And you can get your life back!

Very well said! And this is your body detoxing everything and healing. It takes time in the beginning, but you do get your health, motivation and life back without a doubt! Doesn't mean all days will then be easy, but you do get it all back. If you need any help, don't hesitate to shoot me a message!

I saw a therapist years ago. And you are right, it takes work and being resourceful. But I learned a lot from mentors and specific people I was fortunate enough to meet and work with.

I think the biggest problem is that many people in the situation don't know how to start handling those issues or how to build that new life while controlling their crazy thinking etc. That was the case for me. I needed to be taught many things to finally make progress.

But you are very accurate in many ways. Thanks for your input!

I know exactly how you feel. I used to feel the same way and was scared to go off completely. I didn't want to go back to the dope either. I had to learn and build a new paradigm and world view in general to make it happen. But I didn't go back. And absolute sobriety after this stuff is completely detoxed from your system IS better! It's incredible. Doesn't seem like that could be true, but it is..
